My TV guide reads that Meat will be on ITV1 'This Morning' on Tuesday (tomorrow).

MeatGrl1 06 May 2008 00:49

SamCat 06 May 2008 01:28

Ooh ooh ooh Please please please John Barrowman

AndyK 06 May 2008 07:42

The EPG on my freeview box bills Meat's appearance as "Meat Loaf talks about getting back to work after his illness"

Meat Loaf
Published: Friday, 2 May 2008, 11:44AM

After nearly 40 years in show business, Meat Loaf is still hot. And after having to cancel his European tour last year because of a health scare, he's now back on the road and ready to rock.

Meat Loaf recently revealed that he relies on dozens of pills and remedies to get through a tour to quell his nerves. He says: "If you go into my dressing room there's a little bowl with Ricola cough drops in it and Vocal Zones [lozenges] and the spray is Singer's Secret. There's vitamins - two kinds of Bs and a C - and then there are energy-plus tablets. I know they help me."

His new tour, 'Casa De Carne' is set to run from June through to August. Meat Loaf will be performing in various locations in the UK, plus a series of open air shows at historic castles and palaces including Lord Mountbatten's home at Romsey in Hampshire and Castle Howard in North Yorkshire.

Ah that was good to watch, a little more toned down (for lack of better words) than usual though I think.

belladonna-took 06 May 2008 11:55

He said that Pearl will be opening at 5 of the UK shows..didn't say which ones, and that he will do a Newcastle concert to make things up for the people who were there last year when it ended so sadly.

Hypnobabe 06 May 2008 12:00

On the plus side we got Fern, on the minus, we got Eammon.... Still, it wasn't too bad all in all, would have been better if he'd had more time, obviously...

THINK I may have managed to record it to the PC, have to check in a bit, but have no idea how (or where) to upload it if I have.....

Looks like I'll be talking my driver into another road trip then lol

He said he'd do something for Newcastle, got me wondering that has, doesn't sound like your usual run of the mill concert. Be nice to get back to that pub again tho, hell of a night!!

He said it in the very last minute as it went to the competition and then Fern repeated it just afterwards.

Monstro 06 May 2008 12:13

It's recorded (thanks to Anji) and will be uploaded to the usual site when Debs has the time to do it..including the after interview Pearl bit

uncanny.

it would appear that I am exactly the same weight as Mr Loaf, which is handy, what with me being a tribute artist, and all...

(although I am a little bit taller)

Heg19 06 May 2008 20:15

snowy 06 May 2008 20:29

Did anyone catch him on the London Tonight show at 6.00 this evening? They said he would be on when they had the news headlines in the middle of This Morning. (I missed it due to a funeral!):(
