(As I dont think that everyone knows to look in the calendar!) Meat Loaf will be playing an acoustic set on Radio 2 (streamed on the Internet at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/ ) from midnight (Wednesday 30th into Thursday) in UK, 1.00am in Europe on Thursday and 7.00pm in NYC on Wednesday.

Universal have just confirmed that this will be new and not a repeat of the acoustic set Meat played recently on the Steve Wright Show. Guess that counts me out getting to bed at a sensible time!

When did they play an acoustic set on the Steve Wright Show? I only remember hearing a Meat Loaf interview on that show. Does anyone have a copy of the acoustic set?

This Janice Long show was recorded a fortnight ago (the day before they played a live acoustic set on The Johnny Walker Show and then recorded the acoustic set for Capital Gold).

The interview was absolutely hysterical ! And I loved the Acoustic versions of Tear Me Down and Anything for Love :) Fantastic!
But would you believe I lost the connection right in the middle of CHSIB ?? I got the very beginning .. then it cut out completely .. and came back on just as they were finishing :( From what I heard it sounded great ... but hopefully it'll be in the archives so we can listen to it again tomorrow.

Hi, Vicki! My audio stream did the exact same thing as yours!! But the show IS there now in the Listen Again section. And when I went back, it came through perfectly!!

Don't know how long it'll be there, though!! So, check it out, as well as all of you who might have missed the Live Airing!! Meat comes on at about 20 minutes in. :lol:

Great interview and songs!! He sounds SO good!!! Well worth a listen, everyone!!

Meat sounded great especially in anything for love, he sang it with so much power and meaning!! cant wait til november!!

that was quite possibily the best version of anything for love i have heard, the versions of CHSIB and Tear me Down where better than the johny walker show as meat made no mistakes. Managed to capture it and get it on a CD!!! Endless playback- it was that good!!

I'm in Dublin, so can't get UK radio at the moment.

Fantastic acoustic set last night and well worth waiting up for. Meat and all the guys in the band were excellent.

Janice Long was surprised to see Meat go into character to perform the songs live in the studio, when there was no audience watching. She even put it to him that he could fake it on the radio. He had to explain to her that he wouldn't know how to do that. She found the performance exhilarating and was right on when she said she was sure the people listening at home could feel the vibe!
