Meat in Dallas, 1963?

Just for fun, here's a link to a photo I found. http://thenakedwire.com/baringit/ind...94.msg7142#new

I think that may be a photo with Meat the day of JFK's assassination. Meat has said he was in Dallas and went to Parkland Hospital after hearing the news. He's also said he has seen at least one photo of that day that he was in.

If you're interested in history take a look and see what you think. It could be Meat or could be just that I have a great imagination!

erm......okay........
are there any other pics around that time to see how he looked then?

I don't know if they ever ended up online so this might only make sense to paid MLUKFC members, but some years ago a few pics were printed in RVM of Meat in rehearsals for a show around his high school/college time...thinking back to those pics I'm not sure that the guy in this photo is big enough to be Meat (no offence to the man himself )

Never thought to look here! These are the pics I meant...

It kinda has the look of him, but I dont think its him

Hypnobabe 08 Jan 2008 12:27

It does look a bit like him, but then again, it also looks like Vincent D'Onofrio playing Private Pile in Full Metal Jacket...

Whew!!!

In any event...I can't even see anybody looking like Meat. Which one thought to be Meat?

tbuck 10 Jan 2008 03:03

Look above the black girl, there's a guy in a t-shirt partially obscured. I think the hairline and ear match the photo of Meat around that age (see To Hell and Back Again, p. 65). The photo is from a different angle, but I think they match. In 1963 Meat would have been 16.

That's part of a bigger pic. Near the white t-shirt guy are 2 more young men, which would fit w/ Meat's story of being w/ 2 friends.

Thanks for that link Lucy. If you have the autobiography, look at the pic on p. 53. He was not heavy at that age, he's big-boned, but by no means heavy. In any case, I don't think you see enough of the kid in the photo to be able to judge his size.

But then I could be crazy.

Terry, those who have met you would testify to the fact that you are crazy :))

Your theory is sound, but it's so hard to tell from that partially obscured face. Just remember to be careful who you ask the question of ;-)
