Best Song From: BOOH

I am aiming for Took the Words cause it's so .... whats the word ...... ROCK'N!

Pudding 06 Nov 2007 02:50

For Crying Out Loud

Pud

geordieloaf 06 Nov 2007 09:06

Agree For crying out loud.

Benny 06 Nov 2007 14:06

Bat Out Of Hell

wolfy35 06 Nov 2007 16:21

How can we ignore the original and still the best?

Bat out of hell.

Even after 30 years it still sends a shiver down my spine when i hear the first few notes

Evil One 06 Nov 2007 16:26

For Crying Out Loud. The best.

K1ttycat 06 Nov 2007 17:08

Very difficult for me to choose one as I love them all and all for different reasons....BUT in the end I have to say Bat Out of Hell.

Pudding 06 Nov 2007 22:46

Kinda interesting that no one's gone for Paradise, has it constantly gets referred to as a 'fans favourite'

Pud

Shoot me if you will, but i can honestly say, BOOH isn't one of my favorites. Sure, it's a classic, a bloody good song, but i'm not overly keen.

Much prefer Two Out Of Three...

Sapphire Lady 07 Nov 2007 23:43

Two out of Three also gets my vote :D

Paradise is great live, but rather less so on the album I reckon.

Pudding 08 Nov 2007 00:51

I can't do with Paradise either live or on the album. Paradise and Lemon are the two songs that got skipped on the DVD.

Pud

Evil One 08 Nov 2007 00:58

But that's because they've been done so many times, over and over again.

AndrewG 08 Nov 2007 00:58

Yep.

Lemon is a song I don't like at all, never have and Paradise has been done to death. It constantly irked me when Bat3 was being promoted on TV or wherever, Paradise would more often than not be the other song that was being sung.http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ing/blowup.gif

Each song has its own time and place from BOOH but For Crying Out Loud stands out as timeless, emotional and heart-wrenching, no mean feet. I cant think of any other song ever that can make you feel that way everytime I listen to it.

A good friend gave the song the best reveiw I ever heard "It's the kind of song that breaks open your rib cage and tears out your beating heart, lobs it about a bit then places it gently back" Also one of the scariest too lol

I agree with Pud on Paradise and Lemon. Both songs I never liked much when I first listened to BOOH 1 & 2. I did enjoy both the first time live though on the welcome to the neighbourhood tour. But the repetetive nature on later DVDs, CDs and concerts gave me that "samey" feeling.

Anyway, to recap, I voted FCOL.

Wario 08 Nov 2007 03:01

Agreed with Paradise and Lemon too. Another song overdone is Frying pan, but it's such a better song that i can't complain. Frying Pan is the type of song you WANNA hear live over and over again.

chrissylf22 08 Nov 2007 11:29

My choice would be For crying out loud

Can't disagree with you more on that one. Frying Pan live is amazing and the one song I hoped he was going to sing recently at Glasgow SECC. Even with the start of his voice problems I thought Meat and the band were superb that night with Frying Pan.

Some musc polls say that you're likely to drive like "a maniac" while listening to Bat Out Of Hell. But for me only Frying Pan does it everytime I hear the opening notes, and I listen to it a LOT while driving. Car in front watch out hahahahaha

Same when i walk home from School with my ipod.

every day i hope when i listen to it (almost on a daily basis) that the person i walk home with won't go back home with a black eye while he's right next to me lol

Oh and nowadays if you'd go to a concert like that, theres almost a definite chance he'll sing it that there's no need to hope for it but await for it ;)

Mick Loaf 09 Nov 2007 23:21

For Crying Out Loud just ahead of Bat today. Might change tomorrow cause I love them both.

PanicLord 09 Nov 2007 23:37

FCOL. A thing of true beauty and power, and the least campy, most operatic one on the album. A great taster of things to come on Dead Ringer.
