"the very best of" VHS?

Stumbled across this on the german amazon site.
Says it has a running time of 100 min and was released by Sony BMG in the UK.

Is this some kind of bug or did I miss anything there?

AndyK 27 Sep 2007 11:33

I dont' remember anything being released on video to coincide with VBO. Is there any more info on amazon.de that you can translate to help us determine what it is?

RadioMaster 27 Sep 2007 11:59

Only further info is that it was released October 26th, 1998 and that the ASIN (some registration code i guess) is B00005B3FI.

Same page on Amazon.co.uk

Pre-ordered it from Amazon years ago but it was never released. Maybe there are some promo copies out there but I've never found one.

Is that the videos of the songs from the VBO album or performances from the 1999 tour?

AndyK 27 Sep 2007 16:43

I'm presuming it was a release slated (and later cancelled) of the promo video's of the songs on the VBO album ... in the same way that Hits Out Of Hell on vhs accompanied HooH on Vinyl back in '85

allrevvedup 27 Sep 2007 17:01

Would be great if they did bring something like that out on DVD, more for the videos from 93-96 (well for me anyway)

Maybe if this Boxset ever appears there will be one.

LucyK! 27 Sep 2007 17:03

Yeah, I have all the videos from that era but they're scattered around on various VHSs and DVDs, would be nice to have the collection in one place

allrevvedup 27 Sep 2007 17:04

Though they can leave Man Of Steel out of it!

AndyK 27 Sep 2007 17:10

I'd vote for a complete promo video Anthology on DVD as well, including all the rare ones (modern Girl, Nowhere Fast etc) and even Man Of Steel ... (can always skip it)

LucyK! 27 Sep 2007 17:19

You could watch man Of Steel but hen watch Patti in CHSIB to make up for it

allrevvedup 27 Sep 2007 17:49

Good looking women in knee high boots seem to always work well with me...i wonder why:D

Kev 27 Sep 2007 18:05

I've just looked this one up...

It was due for release on 26/10/98 by Sony BMG

Cat number 2008642
Price £14.99

Another Meaty related title to add to the list of never was!

Deb 27 Sep 2007 18:11

Isn't that basically what RJ already said?

meatloaf-unofficial 27 Sep 2007 18:16

they should mabe do a dvd aswell capturing all rare live performances like the one in 1996 in Berlin; I have that on an interview and shows: rubber meet the road, bat and anything for love...

A bit like the new dvd thats out from, I think, ACDC (saw it on the countdown on play.com) - they've just released a dvd like this one showing live performances, rare ones... :-)
