Meat has long hair again...

... well, kinda lol

This show has been panned though all over the net :(

Ankie 22 Mar 2007 11:48

What does that mean? I do not get it, due to english not being my first language...

Kev 22 Mar 2007 11:50

Meat is opening the Bat 1 part of his show dressing and looking like he did for Bat 1.

Panned means the press are stating his vocals were very poor.

Ankie 22 Mar 2007 11:58

Thanks for explaining.

Yes, there were some poor reviews, but I saw good ones as well.

am glad there are good reviews too..
to bad the reporters mostly are subjective it is hard to find an honest review

ok I;'m not to objective either.. but that's something else..

Hey! We don't all wear wigs you know ;)

LucyK! 22 Mar 2007 17:51

Yeah the initial reaction at our end was "Meat looks like a bad tribute to himself" - not the best I've seen the big guy looking!

Do you think it was done this way on purpose? Kinda...tongue in cheek poking fun at himself?

My thoughts exactly

The wig and the look itself looks just way too bad for it not to be an inside joke...

LucyK! 22 Mar 2007 17:57

Oh absolutely, there's no way he would have put that wig on seriously, but I'm not sure if it was meant to look quite that scary! It's almost reminiscent of the Anything For Love video!

mszee 22 Mar 2007 17:58

It looks more dopey to me than scary...and I mean American "dopey" as in silly...

allrevvedup 22 Mar 2007 18:02

Meat Loaf with a wig?...In a word...NO!

RadioMaster 22 Mar 2007 18:03

I think it's a nice little entertainment idea...not more and not less

batcity 22 Mar 2007 18:11

OH MY GOD!!! WHO PUT A WIG ON MEAT!!!

I GUESS HIDING HIS BALD SPOT!!!

Kev 22 Mar 2007 18:23

Bald spot? Meat has a full on slap head now heh, nice combover though. Not half as good/bad as Jimmys thought.

And I don't think its a joke at all. It's meat through the ages so he's playing the roll of himself 30 years ago!

LucyK! 22 Mar 2007 18:26

Yeah but he's doing it in a tongue-in-cheek way - he's not sat down with a stylist to make himself look exactly how he did then or anything, he's just thrown the wig on to represent himself then

batcity 22 Mar 2007 18:28

STILL LOOKS SCARY

RadioMaster 22 Mar 2007 18:37

does it really matter if it's tounge in cheak or not?

LucyK! 22 Mar 2007 18:40

Not at all Rj...just some observations...

djfierce 22 Mar 2007 18:59

Well i'm sure he has enough money to do a proper job if it wasnt meant to be tongue in cheek, but it looks kinda weid though

Will have tocomment more on it once i've seen it in person (assuming he is still doing it by the time wembley rolls around)

Ageing Bat 22 Mar 2007 19:01

I wonder if it's a tongue in cheek "up yours" at the critics who have a problem with Meat singing Paradise with Aston?

Blackkat13 22 Mar 2007 19:04

Hey it's his show so he can do it his way....Does that mean he wheres the wig till bat 3 since BOOH 1 and 2 he had long hair?

LucyK! 22 Mar 2007 19:05

Possibly an up yours to the critics...although it's not just Meat, the whole band are dressed in 70's outfits...

I doubt it, he can get away with a comedy wig for Paradise, but not for Anything For Love and Objects

Very much possible...

bonsi 26 Mar 2007 16:21

If that's what he wanted to do, then let it be. But in my opinion he should just act naturally, and go with the flow!

Sapphire Lady 28 Mar 2007 12:20

Well I think he looks lovely :D

bonsi 28 Mar 2007 12:47

TOO RIGHT, bet he wishes he could go back in time.

PanicLord 28 Mar 2007 21:42

LOL - Great stuff - nice funny touch to kick off the show! Don't take it sooooo seriously!!
