I love hamsters!!
Used to always have one since many years.
But unfortunately the last hamster I had died 3/4 years ago.
And I don´t have the space at the moment for such a little cutie :(

It's taken long enough but I finally have a pic of my dog to post!! This is Dempsey, he's a Boxer we bought from a family who were getting rid of him so therefore we had no decision over his name!! An absolute treasure until the day he digested my Bat II Collector's Edition....

This dog has the cutest most soulful eyes I've seen...

Scrabble is a good match for my Corky...

Corky is a yorkie who would give ANY Yorkshireman a BAD BAD name...

And the dog is only about 3 Lbs and a little bigger than a squirrel...

That's only because my fleece is in the wash, and don't start with the guilt because you know how much I love that boy!

You're right Zina, his eyes are just killer - I was absolutely infuriated when he got his mouth around my Meat CD but it was so hard to be mad with him as he knew he'd done something bad and just gave me "that" look!

It isn't yet, he had a choice of two, and he chose mine this time :p

I just raised my voice at a very clingly female that resides with me...just raised my voice cause she was being EXTREMELY needy...she turned around and left the room all huffy and puffy...typical female...I had to run and apologize...argh...

The first photo is my cat, Handsome, half Russian Blue, half Persian, who came to me one day at a feline soup kitchen I was running in my back yard about 8 years ago. Last time at the scales, he weighed 24 pounds! The cat below knows very well how much he weighs - he sat on her one day in retaliation for her spitting in his face.

This beauty is the house cat, Flaquita, who came into the yard one day, and decided to adopt one of my housemates. She was taken to the vet for shots, etc., and was discovered to be pregnant! So 4 abortions, a hysterectomy, age estimate at less than one year, and $700+ later, she became a house fixture. She's a charming, very feisty alley cat who can charm her way into anyone she chooses, except Handsome if she spits in his face.

For all those that thought my Boxer dog is gorgeous and adorable...I came home today to find our blinds in the living room were missing as he's attacked the post box (which had to be fitted after he demolished my Bat II Collector's Edition), cut his mouth, then run to the window to find the postman - covering the blinds and the glass in blood. Such a good boy... :roll:

You might have to consider putting him into a crate when nobody is home. It is not cruel when you're trying to protect him from himself.

My cousin put a dog into kennel (not for the first time) for a weekend. Dog was chewing on the bars cut his mouth and died...god forbid for anybody's dog...so...maybe they are not as smart as we think they are...

Allow me to introduce the latest addition to our family.

His name is Meka and he's a 5 year old Bengal. He's had a bit of a sad history but we've had him for 3 months now and he's settling in very well. He's very affectionate but also extremely demanding. He follows me everywhere, as Bengals do, and talks non-stop. Bengals have more vocal cords than other cats so they make more sounds. Besides a very loud miaow it's amusing to hear Meka chirp and warble.

Although they're big, strong, powerful cats Bengals never grow up and play like kittens, though 100 times rougher!

She is a 6 month old Chocolate Hooded Rat and spends most of the time when I am free sat on my shoulder or hunting for Rich Tea biscuits, her favourite treat

So would I but Amy is not exactly small, She is around 15" from nose to end of tail.

I have a friend who has an adult male Pouched Rat ( Marvin ) He is a little over 3 feet nose to tail and loves rolling over for his belly tickling

Patch is about 2 1/2 we think but she still plays like a puppy! She was supposed to be a short legged Jack Russell but she's quite tall and skinny so we think she's a bit of something else too but we don't know what. We got her from an Irish man in Stanmore in North West London - do you know it?

Oh he'll be happier, healthier and live longer according to the blurb, though if he can't reproduce himself what's the point???

In fairness to him, we did wait a fair time to give him chance to father a shedload of kittens. Afterall, if everyone has their moggies neutered before they've had chance to reproduce themselves, then surely that would lead to genocide and the extinction of moggies. :shock:
