Meat's Goatee - Love or Loathe???
 

Hey folks...

Just wondering what you all think of Meat's new Goatee.... i personally like it... it gives Meat a definate edge... and imo it knocks 10 years off him!!!

I have to say, I usually love the unshaved, organised stubble look, can't stand clean shaven men....this may be my exception.

I don't normally like facial hair on men 'cos I have sensitive skin, but on Meat, the goatee looks yummy!

I actually think it makes him look really cool. It really suits the release of his new album.

I think he suits it- if anyone's saw the episode of the outer limits where Meat plays an American civil war general I thought he looked cool there with a goatee too.

I love it; it's a great change. A little lotion does wonders for keeping a beard soft. Be interesting to see if he will be comfortable keeping it during the hot summer; will let everyone know after the NJ concert. :))

... i liked how Meat looked with a moustache in Lucy Whipple... and i thought he looked VERY handsome in the goatee (sp) in The Outer Limits episode... but i think that facial hair may have come from make-up?... his facial hair in AI... is home-grown... and with more growth and shaping and such.. perhaps it would grow on me ..as it has on him?.. giggle.. but that's to be seen... imo.. it's probably a temporary thing..as i don't remember that other than for films he was ever anything but clean shaven..or never more than from morning to showtime fuzzied... ;) ...

it's probably more a pain for men to keep up facial hair ... than just shave and not have to worry about how the facial hair looks...

I have thing for blokes with goatees at the best of times. I have a thing for Meat at the best of times. I'll leave the rest to your imaginations, bar the one comment that hubby didn't know what had hit him... :oops:

I hate shaving and find keeping a beard and tache much easier.
I do tend to resemble Antoney Hopkins in "Instinct" when the hair is not tied back so i may not be the best person to comment.

Oh i hope not. I think it makes him look... wow... amazing.... i really hope he decides to keep it...

Perhaps after seeing this thread and realising that most folks like it... maybe he'll decided to let it stay?????

I hate beard because of two reasons:
1. It´s just a bad feeling in the face and uncomfortable and
2. It just looks riddiculous on me! (And before somebody asks: No, I won´t post a picture!)

As a guy, I personally think it makes him look sleazy. He looked great in the Melbourne DVD, only wearing a 2 day old scruffy unshaken look. However, this goatee just isn't Meat. He might as well wear his ultralong hair again, and I doubt he'll be going that route again. Meat, you look great shaven and clean, alot younger than the goatee look, please go back to it. I like Meat looking 40, not 80.

So far 30 love it, 20 loathe it and 12 can't decide...If those 12 are only being polite...well you do the math ;)

I wouldn't go as far as to say I "loathe" it, but I think it would look better if it was a full - but short - beard. Half way between 'just unshaven' and a beard. I like his new haircut though (in a heterosexual way!).

I always think men with goatees are trying to look younger and more cool.

I totallly agree, and I'm female.
On AI the suit was great, from a distance he looked special.
Closer up with the more full Goatee made him look sleazy.
Just my opinion....

Some are saying they love it because it's Meat Loaf..fullstop. I'd go down to the bookies and place a bet to say you'd probably get the same results from the same people had Meat Loaf walked on stage with a Mohican and sporting a pink and polka dot blue handbag :shock:

With the 'sort of' beard, Meat looks a bit like my Dad, except my Dad looks a bit more healthy.

I haven't shaved the sides of my chin since I heard the ML American Idol performance. I don't plan to shave until Bat 3 release date (at least)
