Who's the BEST female singer Meat Loaf has worked with?

Who do you think THE best female singer Meat Loaf has worked with is? Not just touring, but studio as well.

I would dearly have loved to say Elaine Caswell for this, but since I can't find any evidence of them ever collaborating together, then I won't. Instead I'll go for Karla DeVito.

Patti is superb, but Karla seemed to bring more dramatics on stage, especially when she shimmied and her boobs were bouncing out of the side of her top

Pud

KebLou 14 Nov 2005 11:27

Patti :D

Bart 14 Nov 2005 12:43

Carla on stage. It is just the look in her eyes when she is on stage. And she is really awesome in the paradise vid.

Deb 14 Nov 2005 14:51

Without doubt Patti

Diane 14 Nov 2005 15:29

Karla was great but Patti is in a league of her own.

Diane

Ankie 14 Nov 2005 15:33

Patti!

Heli 14 Nov 2005 16:27

Patti Patti Patti!! Without a single doubt!!

Leah 15 Nov 2005 10:31

There's only one gal in my mind and thats Patti, she's brilliant! :D

Kai-H. 15 Nov 2005 13:19

Undoubtly ELLEN FOLEY > remember her fantastic voice on studio-take of "Paradise". She made a superb solo-LP in 1979 ( Nightout ), two more LP's and took part im Jim's Pandora's Box.

Sorry for the other girls - imo Ellen beats them all !

Bye from Kai

SuperLoafMan 15 Nov 2005 18:19

Without a doubt, Patti....:D

LesleyM 17 Nov 2005 13:57

PATTI OF COURSE - how can you even ask !!!

Fallen Angel 29 Nov 2005 18:10

Patti

Louise 19 Jan 2006 10:41

Karla de Vito

The Flying Mouse 24 Jan 2006 18:28

 Gotta go with Patti here

rugby 24 Jan 2006 20:11

Patti she's so cool, and can sing amazingly!!!

Leah 05 Mar 2006 12:04

There's only one girl and thats Patti :D

Chris 05 Mar 2006 15:23

Definitely Patti

Benny 20 Mar 2006 21:31

:cheer: Patti :cheer:

Jeanie 21 Mar 2006 05:15

Those who came before were good.. Ellen Foley and Karla De Vito, but.. Patti is the best of them all, definiately Meat's best on stage partner hands down. To watch the 2 of them on stage, playing off each other, is such fun to watch, Patti keeps up with all and every antic Meat tries to pull over on her. I love what she adds to the shows. :D

J.

Leah 01 May 2006 11:44

Patti!

Rockette 01 May 2006 12:09

Umm. Has Patti won the cigar yet???

Caelan 01 May 2006 13:39

i think so...

RadioMaster 01 May 2006 17:34

It´s a very hard question?
Karla or Patti...
Karla is great but Patti...

I whould vote for Patti, because she´s the only one who can hold a candle to Meat (omg, was that the right phrase?). And I don´t mean just with her voice. I mean her complete behavior on stage.

WhenItComes2LovingU 13 May 2006 21:17

What is wrong with you people? The best female vocalist to have worked with was Mrs. Loud.

White of High 19 May 2006 16:26

Lorraine Crosby was the best voice... on stage? I don't know... I have never been in concert because there is not a chance...

Susi 20 May 2006 17:17

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think Meat ever sang live with Lorraine Crosby/Mrs. Loud ?!

Jackoutofhell 21 May 2006 09:06

Ellen Foley.. definitely

Sorry guys, Patti has to be my least favorite of the bunch. She isn't bad, but I prefer the others.

chrissylf22 25 May 2006 12:13

Patti they just have brilliant chemstry

rick 28 May 2006 02:01

Ellen Foley with out a doubt what a babe.

Makes me laugh its the same as conducting a poll today for the best ever album and westlife will win.

connie 29 Jun 2006 19:09

karla just mimied on stage, patti and meat have good cemistry on stage.

MeatGrl1 06 Jul 2006 02:50

Well, she may not be a GOOD singer, but she is a singer, and an attractive one at that, which is enough for me.

RSG 07 Jul 2006 16:29

Karla looked great, I forget how she sung live with Meat.

Patti is definetly the way to go.

Bohemian 15 Jul 2006 07:41

Lorraine Crosby's voice is the best for me. Absolutely fantastic, why did Steinman not work more with her? (Did she do the demo of IDAFL before Bat 2??). I like her more than Elaine Caswell, who would be my second favuorite Stein-chick.

I love Ellen Foley too. Night out is a fantastic album and she's such a fantastic actress. Wolf w/ the red Roses bit. So good. And the Want Ad.

And then we come to the Live performers... I really haven't been that fond of any of them to be honest :? . I can not STAND Karla DeVito's voice. Listening to the various live in 78 recordings I've gathered... she is a pony of a severely diminished number of tricks. Likewise I hate the sound of those two sisters meat sung with in the late 80s. Oooooh they're probably even worse to my ear.

Patti is alrite, and good on stage. I don't love her voice, but she's good on stage. CC was better tho  . Not that I could hear her voice even a little bit on the nite. But one gets the impression that's not what her most important role on stage was ;) .

Who on earth sang 45 seconds of ecstasy? I like the sound of her voice too, not that its overly strained on such a pedestrian little ditty tho...

samurai7 28 Jul 2006 19:01

Amy & Elaine Goff were pretty good back in the '80s. It was amazing looking at Meat singing Paradise with Amy - the size difference between them was immense! lol!

And talk about being sexy....

But for the voice, it has to be Patti.

rockyboy74 17 Aug 2006 18:46

It has 2 be Patti not only has she got an incredible voice but has also got the looks, those skimpy outfits she wears on stage leaves alot 2 be desired

I´ve seen namely two or three clips of them, but I can say that I still feel the pain in my ears. There was a clip of Modern Girl somewhere, and they sang the backing line "gimme the future" as bad as possible,...ouch!

MissAsh 23 Aug 2006 01:36

Patti. She has an incredible voice, and her & Meat perform so well together. Although I guess I'm a little biased because she's the only one I've seen live.

Leonie 29 Aug 2006 15:32

Hey what about his duo with Cher back in the 80s they really sounded great together.

Susi 15 Sep 2006 22:09

I already said this several times, but due to the latest events and the sad news today I just would like to say it again:

It is and ALWAYS will be Patti!

Leah 15 Sep 2006 22:16

PATTI !!!!

RockNRollHEro 19 Sep 2006 01:24

I'm going to go with Pearl, the sentimental value alone, of having meat up there with his daughter was touching. I wish pearl would have been able to hit it big in a solo career, but that hasnt happened yet.

Mike Piercy 19 Sep 2006 18:59

PATTI

Replaced but irreplaceable.

Duet partner beyond compare.

Credible.

Beautiful and so supportive of fans.

All the best of luck in your solo career Patti.

We'll miss you.

Mike

loaferman61 19 Sep 2006 22:05

Patti. Nuff said.

batcity 28 Sep 2006 21:47

Patti 120% although Pam Moore was 2nd best!!!

TravisWRedfish 28 Sep 2006 23:32

Patti, not even close! :)

Blackkat13 29 Sep 2006 04:30

I Agree With All Who Say Patti.

TRAVELFAR 29 Sep 2006 14:17

PATTI RUSSO WITHOUT ANY DOUBT. SHE IS A GREAT SINGER AS WELL AS BEING VERY SEXY.
MEAT LOAF`S FUTURE CONCERTS WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT HER.

The Evolution 29 Sep 2006 21:52

Patti Russo was without a shadow of doubt the best, she had everything, the voice, the looks, the character everything.

I will miss her dearly.

jools35 30 Sep 2006 22:49

Hi,

I can only say Patti.
She is the only lead female singer that i have seen live

Julian

At this moment: Patti still is!!!!! but..... its gonna be very interesting when Aspen is not so nervous anymore.....

Wario 06 Jan 2007 04:30

Patty's alsome, but the Golff Twins in the 80's were better. They did the sickest paradises and Dead Ringers with Meat and even duetted him in solo songs Modern Girl, Blind Before I Stop, and others.....

MeatGrl1 06 Jan 2007 04:35

Erm in your opinion.
I personally prefere Patti.

JanT 06 Jan 2007 21:15

Have only seen video footage of him singing with 4 different female duet partners, I have never seen him live. Patti has the best voice, can actually carry a tune AND gives an impression of chemistry.

Wario 06 Jan 2007 21:48

I cant go to a concert till I'm 21.

So I haven't seen them either, just footage.

Golff twins rock!

Would your parents not take you?

Wario 06 Jan 2007 23:11

No, its that they ban people 20 and lower out for this tour. We Couldn't go to any CHSIB tour dates because my dad was in the hospital (god bless him) and through Hair of the Dog. Way too young in 1995 for the WTTN tour and never knew about 199's storyteller's one.

It Sucks.

I think I may be one of the youngest users here, 16 years I am.

djfierce 06 Jan 2007 23:21

you need to come over to Wembley then my dear boy!!
You'll be surprised we have a few 16/17 year olds here :D
Sadly i'm not one of them :(

My daughter is on here too, she's only 13 :-)

Wario 07 Jan 2007 00:47

....I became a Junior Loafer in 2 days.

But 13 is impressive. Not many loafers are teens.

I proform Meat Loaf every Dance, and upcoming Formal and they still think he only sings paradise and AFL.

I showed this video of patty and meat on Leno doing I'd Lie For You, the kids said she was the ugliest bitch they ever saw!

well yea, I'm in the US. UK respects Meat Better, People here like Meat, but not a impressive percentage of Teens. Hes on Practically Every Radio Station in the UK. I have been there.

So I'm Not Surprised at all about the massive amount of Tennage Loafies there.

In PA, where I live , no such thing. They lost even more respect for him when he wore that Cowboys Jersy. BUT To make this on Topic, They thought the girl he sang with is "OK"

:?
