I'm just watching Top Gear on telly and they're doing the top driving songs of all time....and they are complaining that "Bat Out of Hell" by our Meat Loaf is number 1 at the moment!! :shock:

WHATS WRONG WITH MEAT JEREMY!!??!! Huh?!!

I recon we all go onto the top gear website (www.bbc.co.uk/topgear) and complain that Meat Loaf isn't just a "fat man" !!! We LOVE Meat Loaf!!!!!!!

Yes Jeremy is rather narrow minded. Entertaining at times, but stubborn. I quite like the program but think his views on cars are kind of fantasy. Not all of us can afford a DB9 or Ford GT Jeremy! The car related educational/environmental value of their show is rather close to zero if you ask me.

I thought he would slag off Meat Loaf, typical Jeremy. Though I was pleasently surprised "Bat out of Hell" is stil at number 1 of their driving songs. Hope it stays that way even after Jeremy's stupid pleas not to vote for it anymore.
Of course bat out of hell is the ultimate car song, it's the best song ever! "Breaking outta my body and flying away......................... Like a BAT OUT OF HELL!!!"

BTW Jeremy is rather fat himself if I may say so!
Maybe we should hold a petition for getting Meat Loaf on Top Gear as the weekly guest. He would sort Jeremy out anyday!

(at least they spelled Meat Loaf correctly on the board)

My comment to the BBC:
"I thought Jeremy's comments on tonights show on Meat Loaf were rather harsh. "Bat out of Hell" is a great song according to many viewers, so he should respect that. I feel Jeremy sometimes goes too far with his personal comments. He is an entertaining person Mr Clarkson, but commenting on an artists' weight just to voice his own opinion is rather juvenile. I along with many viewers would like him to be more positive about one of the best driving songs ever. If he cannot do that he should not hold the survey in the first place."

vote for bat out of Hell as no.1 driving anthem just to annoy him, you can do it through the website :-)

Top Gear is currently running a survey for the 'Best Driving Song' - current number is of course ..... BAT OUTTA HELL !!

I usually watch Top Gear every Sunday but last night i was out and missed the show, although i did vote for Meat Loaf, Bat Out Of Hell last week....:D

I will watch the repeat show today i think it is on and then see what he says about Meat, but i must say though a few weeks back, maybe in 2004 there was a free CD given away with the newspaper called "Clarksons Best Driving Songs" or something along those lines and Bat was on there....so how can he be slagging him off if he had it on a CD....he talks some right carbage sometimes doesnt he :|

I bet if there was a contest between Meat and Clarkson, Meat would kick 10 balls of s**t out of him!!! :lol:

They are going to feature one of the songs in the top 5, in each of the next 5 shows, and after that will be the results, i think. So 5 or 6 weeks.

I particulary enjoyed a week or two ago when it was pointed out to him that Bat featured on a CD endorsed by Clarkson himself, he was quick to get over that fact!

Don't get me wrong i enjoy watching both top gear and clarkson but he's got to be one of the most arrogant people on tv and i hope that he's humbled by the mighty Bat!

I just voted for Meat. As for my opinion on that Jeremy dude, this voting campain to get Meat off the No. 1 Driving Song is absoulotly silly! If he can't stand the fact that Meat is No. 1 on the Driving Song Charts, then he shouldn't pay any attention. I can't stand anyone that says anything scornful about Meat 'cos, one time I had bought the Melbourne Symphony DVD to my friend's grandmother's house and one of his cousins was untactful as hell about it, saying scornful things about Meat. That's why I can't stand anyone that says scornful things 'bout Meat. You get the picture anyway.

With all the hype they are creating about Meat he will probably win it. But what will happen, will they get Meat on the show then to perform the song? Probably not, they rather look at a Db9 all night!

It would be a sad day for a patient in a hospital to see Jeremy Clarkson or one of his two sidekicks come in and try to cheer him/her up with nonsense stories. Their attitude towards my favourite music has shown their true dark side and highlight the thinness of their comedy material. Why have this contest if they don't appreciate people's choice of music ?!
I know these are jokes, but they have become jokes gone bad and have gone too far! They have crossed the line between fair comment and discrimination and as a result have one viewer less. Surely this kind of stuff is much worse than broadcasting Jerry Springer the musical ?! At least in a programme like that you know what you will hear when you tune in! :roll:

I showed that clip to my mother (Meat Loaf fan of course) and she does not understand how they get away with that kind of talk.

However Meat Loaf himself and his music has helped bring love, support and happiness to millions around the world. So I think we know where we stand.....

Just got a phone call- Meat came third, Clarkson made some comment but I don't know exactly what.

now i watched the programme and it seemed to me they cheered when they anounced meat was 3rd, seemed like they didnt want him 2 come number one. happy for queen thou they are a fantastic band, good song aswell.

Shame Meat didnt win. But they probably would have rigged it anyway as otherwise they'd had to fly out to New York to give him the cheap trophee. :))
