Batgirl38 10 May 2004 11:31

My absolutely favourite song is' Love you out loud'. I loved it from the first moment I've heard it. :D

Skeleton 10 May 2004 11:36

I like all of them but my favs are Love you out loud and Because of you.

Miriam 10 May 2004 11:53

Testify, Tear me down, Because of you, Do it and Mercury blues are my favs.

And in my opinion "Because of you" would have been a great single, a really catchy tune. It's sad it won't be released in Germany, could have been quite successful.

Keep Rocking 10 May 2004 21:28

Love you out loud, Testify, Because of you

And of course the live version of Forever Young which Meat sang at the shows in Germany- I still have the goosebumps

PanicLord 10 May 2004 22:11

CHSIB, DIST, MOS

meat loaf is my god 10 May 2004 22:21

Mine Is Forever Young Becuse it is so true to life :D

AndyK 10 May 2004 23:11

Mine swings between DIST and testify at the moment.

KebLou 10 May 2004 23:26

Lizziebaby 10 May 2004 23:57

DIST and CHSIB. Brilliant.

Modern Girl 11 May 2004 10:05

Mines Testify :)

RoknRollJesus 11 May 2004 14:05

Its a tie! DIST and CHSIB

Bart 11 May 2004 16:31

CHSIB, DIST, MOS and WITE.

Michel 11 May 2004 19:37

I think CHSIB and Forever Young are by far the best songs on the album.

Winston 11 May 2004 23:23

Testify

fitton 13 May 2004 20:32

DIST I love the line - 'I still taste you on my tongue and I still breath you in my lungs'

Heli 13 May 2004 20:50

Ahhhhhhhhhhh your making me choose out of all my babies (meat's babies)

I cannot do such a thing! I love them all just as good!! Excellent album all round!

dottie 14 May 2004 10:53

Forever Young - Always has and always will favourite

second favourite - Did I say that?

RSG 14 May 2004 22:10

SO SO hard. :(

if i really could make a down to earth choice and really had to pick one under pressure (cuz they all are extraordintary) i would say Did I Say That?

But again, each track is beautiful or just full hard rock screaming fun, some are both! This album is full of energy, and is all MEAT LOAF as we know him. A fantastic performer!

Jayd 16 May 2004 10:40

Testify and Tear me Down. Oh and Mercury Blues. :D

White of High 16 May 2004 16:19

I don't like this album but maybe Forever Young and Why Isn't That Enough is a little bit better than the average...

Anubis 16 May 2004 19:46

My peronal faverates on CHSIB are CHSIB and man of steel i think there wounderful.

Pixie 17 May 2004 14:47

Got to be DIST and MOS at the moment but I always cry to Why Isn't That Enough? aww...

Edit 21 May 2004 17:28

Fantastic album, Man of Steel and CHSIB comes just a little better that the others but only by a feather, I equally enjoy singing along to all of them, and prefer the one that suits my mood most at the time

Roddyboy 30 Jan 2005 23:58

My favourite songs on the album is: Couldn't Have Said It Better, Did I Say That, You're Right I Was Wrong, Forever Young, Man Of Steel and Because Of You

Pixie 31 Jan 2005 10:55

Am developing an increasing fondness for Because of You at the moment..

Bart 31 Jan 2005 11:17

But I think there isn't excellent song! :(

anette 02 Feb 2005 12:07

Testify, CHSIB, Love You Out Loud and of course Forever Young ... 8)

RSG 11 Feb 2005 23:52

you know i don't no more... they are all very good. last night i kept playing You Rre Right I Was Wrong, it has probably Meat's best vocals. but again, i really can't say, the album is the best in the world *no exageration* :D :D

MissAsh 14 Feb 2005 19:01

Probably CHSIB or Testify. Testify live is just amazing

SuperLoafMan 14 Feb 2005 19:24

You are absolutely right there MissAsh. By the way Hi, noticed you are new :D

I really liked all of the album, it really was some great new work from Meat! My favourites however are 'Because of You' and 'Testify' - great rock athems in the league of Meat's previous classics

QT 12 Jun 2005 20:42

Did I Say That? :D

LesleyM 16 Jun 2005 12:56

I agree Welcome to the Neighbourhood was my favourite album until now - it is IMPOSSIBLE to choose just one favourite, it depends on where you are and what you are doing at the time !!

My favorite would have to be "Man of Steel"
My second favorite would be "CHSIB"

Caelan 06 Jul 2005 22:44

think Did I say that is a good one and chsib

but then again there are so many beautiful songs..

amethyst 09 Jul 2005 21:58

Because of You - it just sums up how i feel about a certain someone ~ oh and Mercury Blues because when Meat Loaf was at the CD signing, it was playing in the background and i sang along with it and he looked up at me and sang too ~ what a moment.

ames xx

My copy doesn't have Mercury Blues on it :( is that a UK thing?

Michel 19 Jul 2005 10:38

It's a hidden track at the end of Forever Young.

SuperLoafMan 21 Jul 2005 10:36

The song Mercury Blues starts at 7.03 mins through the forever young song which Michel pointed out with an engine starting up, A great song it is!!!

djfierce 22 Jul 2005 20:53

Most definately the best version i have ever heard of forever young, real emotion and power!! Didn't like Mercury Blues first couple of times but after seeing him perform it last year at wembley i added it to my fave playlist

Hypnobabe 01 Jan 2006 17:57

I love Love You Out Loud, and Testify.... in fact, the whole album really! :D

mariella 01 Jan 2006 20:53

Still love the entire album and my personal favorite hasn't changed either.
I still think Testify is one of the most brilliant songs I have ever heard!:D

Love,
Mariella

Jeanie 01 Jan 2006 21:29

Love every song except "Do It", haven't seen this performed "live", which may have changed my mind, as it seemed to have a positive effect on those who have. :))

First time I heard Do It - I thought this isn't a song - just a Lot of noise...it took me a long time to get used this one, specially after seeing it live I just love it, think it is great fun and has soo much energy!

Sorry, you never got to go to that tour, Jeanie...

Love,
Mariella

Meataholic 04 Jan 2006 18:39

My favourite is still 'Did I say that?' :D

I'm disappointed that this song was never released as a single in the UK, because I think it would have done extremely well in the charts.

I did get to see this tour Mariella, just that Meat didn't perform "Do it", at the venue I attended. :(

I love "DIST" as well, Meataholic. :D It also contains one of the best lyrics, I have ever heard... "I want to take you in the backseat now, and slowly drive you home", congures up some wonderfully naughtie thoughts.

J.

PanicLord 04 Jan 2006 20:01

DIST then CHSIB. Then MOS.

Yes Jeanie, I love those lyrics too ;);)

Paul191 08 Jan 2006 21:27

I love Man Of Steel, CHSIB, Did I Say That and Testify. My favourite line on the whole album is when Meat sings 'I left a message at the hotel....' at the begining of Man Of Steel. It just sounds so emotional i think.

Steve6 10 Jan 2006 02:15

"FOREVER YOUNG" I love it. I also like "MERCURY BLUES" that is brilliant.

"LOVE YOU OUT LOUD" I never heard him singing that live and it's one of the best songs on the album. Why is that?

mikeloaf 11 Jan 2006 00:19

There is a live recording of LYOL on the MOS single. It sounds very good.

Charlotte 06 May 2006 11:34

im new to this forum...
I havent got a fav song as i love them all, but i do listen to 'Couldnt have said it better' and 'Why wasnt that enough?' more than others!

RadioMaster 06 May 2006 12:44

I think iŽd wrote it already but, definetly Man of Steel!!!

Ross 06 May 2006 14:51

DIST. I can be very Jim-Biased with a lot of Meat's stuff... but this is just fantastic

mikeloaf 08 May 2006 00:18

I think 'Do it' is a good song. The lyrics are quick and complex so you can only really appreciate it once you know the words. I think it would have made a good single and it sounded good live.

When I play the ablum CHSIB I no longer listen to WITE, YRIWW and BOY. These songs just seem dull. I think putting Mercury on the album in place of one ( or all ) of these would have maintained the pace of the album better.....

Jackoutofhell 12 May 2006 03:07

Erm... tough.. Maybe #1-#11. :P

No, let's see...

It's difficult, but maybee.. DIST.

GTB 21 May 2006 00:51

I love 'Couldn't Have Said It Better'! That song is a great 8 minute opener that is just pure rock N Roll bombast! Meat does these kinds of duets with Patti so well, and the song is just so uplifting. The live performance Meat gives of this song on the Live in Melbourne DVD is absolutely off the charts too! DIST is also fantastic, but there is something just so fun about CHSIB, it always puts me in a good mood!

GTB

chrissylf22 22 May 2006 22:04

at the moment i am loving Testify and love you out loud

Jackoutofhell 23 May 2006 02:22

DIST is great... that's the one thing I would have changed about the MSO DVD. Replace one of the other songs with DIST, or just add it, assuming he performed it. And if he didn't, then he should've! :)

GTB 24 May 2006 00:48

I went to one of Meat's concerts in Birmingham over here in England with a partial Meat Loaf-loving friend of mine. Meat did an amazingingly emotional rendition of DIST just sat on on the stage with the spotlight on him. My friend hadn't heard the song before, but couldn't shut up about how great it was for about a week afterwards!

DIST rocks. You must have seen that in 03/04. Meat also did this at the first of two Glasgow shows in January 2004. It was amazing.
