Duets...

OK, so 'fantasy time' now.. if Meat could duet with anyone, who should it be? And singing what come to that...

LukeEdwards999 08 Mar 2004 22:39

Tell you what would be great...Meat Loaf doing a duet with Cher! Maybe something like Dead Ringer For Love or something, now THAT would be good!............ :? :D *apologies!*

Heli 08 Mar 2004 22:49

Me!!! lol!!

I think Him and Patti are perfect although i would like to hear more of him and Pearl!!

Bart 09 Mar 2004 09:23

Britney Spears would be fun. No i mean it. Its something different. Imagine Spears and Meat in an videoclip, i think that is a cool image.

Michel 09 Mar 2004 10:33

8O Bart, would you give me some of that stuff you're smoking.

Deb 09 Mar 2004 10:48

Jon Bon Jovi :-) no sure what song though, maybe a Meat one and a Bon jovi one, I'd have o be there to watch it though.

Bart 09 Mar 2004 10:57

Imagine Britney and Meat like Madonna and Britney. A French Kiss. It would be fun and rebellious 8) .

Jayd 09 Mar 2004 13:54

Meat and Robbie Williams singing Rock'n'Roll Mercenaries, that would be great. :D

BlackRaven 09 Mar 2004 15:00

A duett....

yes thatīs my part.... so Meat and me... thatīs it

But thatīs never happens

So why not a duett Meat with one of his daughters..
like Ozzy Osbourne

A duett Meat again with Bonnie Taylor where great too.

BlackRaven

Winston 09 Mar 2004 17:15

Bruce Springsteen......Tenth Avenue Freeze Out

Renegade Angel 09 Mar 2004 18:00

I think Meat doing Deadringer with Pink would be great.
She's got real rock n' roll 'rasping' vocals and she's also got the whole attitude thing which suits the song.

Rob The Badger 09 Mar 2004 18:09

No no no no no no no no! There is only one person that Meat should do a duet with, Suggs! Can you imagine it. . .ohh chills. hehehe

Mike Piercy 09 Mar 2004 19:33

Meat was asked about this once and said he would like to do a duet with....................Bjork!

Imagine her in that swan costume laying an egg.

Mike

meat loaf is my god 09 Mar 2004 21:42

Ill say should do a duet with brian adams on "Summer of 69" that would be kool

Bart 09 Mar 2004 21:48

For Meat's promotion its better he is doing it with Britney Spears orso, but i doubt if it is good promotion for Spears to sing with Meat :?

RSG 09 Mar 2004 22:26

not britney spears, Please not britney spears,

shakira, okay, but why not Amy Lee from Evanessence, Amy has a beautiful voice. thats what i think tho. just definetly amy over britney.

tukayaway 09 Mar 2004 23:41

I would have loved to have seen something with Janis Joplin or Freddie Mercury. But sadly it's not to be.

Pink would be good, and Gwen Stefani. Both have good voices and look damn good  How about Tom Jones people?

Miriam 10 Mar 2004 16:50

Amy Lee from Evanesence...

airhead 10 Mar 2004 16:58

This is a confession. I always pretend i'm dueting with meat when dead ringer comes on...

But, i think, maybe melanie, the one who sang moonlight shadow (lovely song). Meats powerful voice with a sweet voice like melanies. Like ying and yang i suppose.

LostSoul 10 Mar 2004 19:08

Meat & Shakira... for a very special alternative version of Paradise! 8)

Patricia

Emily 10 Mar 2004 19:11

Jaymze 11 Mar 2004 14:23

Bon Jovi, I'd also love to hear Meat sing Your Song with Elton John

Tamsin 11 Mar 2004 15:03

Snoop Dog

haha

SVZ 12 Mar 2004 14:22

amy lee :? her band= the sound, image, and idea i love.. but her voice ruins the whole thing, its just not strong enough.shes a great visual but thats about it.
if he were to sell out, my choice would be Pink or christina..

though of course whoever we choose..Patti beats them ALL :D

Emily 12 Mar 2004 22:30

Eminem! :D

The Flying Mouse 14 Mar 2004 09:14

 This topic is scaring the sh!t out of me 8O
The very thought of a duet with Robbie Wiliams *shudder*

Britney Spears?Pink?Shakira? They all have a hell of a lot to learn about Rock & Roll :P

Stick with Patti Meat  You know it makes sence 8)

Bohemian 14 Mar 2004 10:42

WELL

I would like the duet on Bat Out Of Hell Three to be done with Elaine Caswell. She has an AMAZING voice. And she continues to work with Jim Steinman so I think she is due for the spotlight (even when she did It's all Coming Back To Me Now it was actually "Pandora's Box", so you know).

That's not taking anythign away from Patti Russo of course. Intersting to look at this, though: Patti is the only Lead Female vocal to last more than one Meat Album. That is kinda cool.

On a completely different note, though, I might have a stab at someone in the modern music scene - you know throw logic out the window and just pick someone I think would be cool.

My favourite female singer in the whole wide world ever is Annie Lennox so I would love to see them do something together. She is not really a Meat chick though... PINK too has an awesome voice. Don't get me wrong, although I find 'Trouble' very catchy and indeed to be an OK song I find most of her stuff as annoying as the next guy.

Such a greart voice though. And she is in the right field to sing with Meat, I reckon. Rock chick, just misguided in the sound she strives for on her own songs, that's all.

Well that's my bit.

Bohemian

black dog 14 Mar 2004 11:14

I think it would be interesting to hear him sing with a classical singer. Just think my Mum and Dad might actually listen to him then without their preconceived ideas

The Flying Mouse 14 Mar 2004 11:25

 You mean someone like Pavarotti?

black dog 14 Mar 2004 11:30

Yep FM someone like Pavarotti

Emily 14 Mar 2004 20:49

He should do a duet with Kasim and sing 'rock and roll mercenaries'

now that would be cool!

luv and paper lanterns,
Emily

amen to that :P

id like to see/hear him work with another guy..2male vocals are cool eg bad attitude with roger daltry 8)
maybe springsteen, that would be a cool duety thing 8)
or steinman they could do something comical and dramatic, maybe like a fight scene or something..steinmans left in the dark vocal would fit that type of theme perfect lol

Or what about Russell Watson again!! I fell asleep while that program was on and I missed the ending!! All i can remember was when he was practising Bat and when he was in that studio with that band

RSG 17 Mar 2004 03:05

Eminem, Snoop Dogg? no, no, no!

you know it would be interesting, but to support meat, i'd buy it. its so wrong tho! if i had to choose it would DEF be eminem. no special reasons. except snoop dogg, is booooring! :? eminem is also strange, but has some creative lyrics, so ya eminem WAY OVER the Dogg!

Emily 17 Mar 2004 12:05

Hmmmmmm

JACKO!

Diane 10 Apr 2004 19:17

Something with Katie Melua. My Aphrodisiac Is You or Tiger In The Night would be red hot!

Diane

Emily 10 Apr 2004 23:35

Meat and Bruce Springsteen :D

White of High 11 Apr 2004 00:59

Celine Dion or Sarah Brightman!

With men? Freddie Mercury would be great but I think it's impossible. Maybe in Neverland later... And with Scatman John would be great too... in the similar world. In the real life? Klaus Meine from Scorpions!

And what is your opinion about Loreena McKennitt? ?I know she has different style... but maybe it should sound great!

airhead 11 Apr 2004 01:09

Elvis and Meat would be good. But Elvis is gone

Heli 11 Apr 2004 12:55

What about Meat an us lot!!!! 8O :D

Crystal Eyes 11 Apr 2004 13:25

I'm not sure I'd want to try and match my voice up to Meats.

White of High, unless technology has suddenly advanced at a phenominal rate it most definetly not possible for Meat to duet with Freddie Mercury unfortunately.

Wanderer 27 Jun 2004 14:45

How about Meat Loaf and Ronnie James Dio? I think that their voices would make a good contrast, yet have enough in common that it wouldn't sound too strange. As for the song, I think that it would be best for it to be a new one, but if they were to redo an old one, something like "Rock and Roll Mercenaries", "Life Is A Lemon" or Dio's "Rock and Roll Children" might work quite well.

meat loaf is my god 27 Jun 2004 16:07

I would liek to See Meat and Bob Geldof Doing Tell Me Why I dont Like Mondays that would be kool

AndyK 27 Jun 2004 16:16

I don't know about Meat duetting with people, but I'd like to see/hear Robbie Williams and Kylie perform Deadringer For Love. They may not be the best vocalists in the world, but they're energetic enough live performers to really knock this one out I think.

PanicLord 27 Jun 2004 20:49

My dream duets would be

Meat and Bonnie Tyler (Dead Ringer, Dance In My Pants, or new song on Bat 3)
Meat and Jim (new song)
Meat and Micheal Ball (maybe)

If any one of these happens, I'll be over the moon. If all three happen, I might EXPLODE!!! 8O

Crystal Eyes 27 Jun 2004 21:29

I have to agree with Wanderer. It would be interesting to hear Dio and Meat. I also like the idea of Meat and Bonnie. As for Kylie and Robbie I personally would break down and cry.

Pixie 29 Jun 2004 10:43

How about Meat and Shaun Williamson? (of COURSE I'm joking), tee hee
