Idea for MLUKFC fan book for Meat
 

Hi all,

This is following on from the 'what can we do' thread. basically I really want Meat to know how all of us Messageboarders feel about him, and how much he has given to us over his huge live career.

My idea is for everyone to write how they feel about him, and what he has given them. They can all be emailed, I am happy to recieve all the emails, and then printed off and sent somewhere to be bound together. This can then be sent, as a record of the MLUKFC Forum Fans opinions on Meat, and he can hold in his hands the personaly messages from everyone on here who loves him so much.

If anyone would like to submit a message, please post that you would like to here. if it seems like a lot of people would like to, i will either post my email address, or set up a webpage for it, or even get a thread going for everyone to post in. Then when we feel everyone has had the chance to post we will sort out the publication/binding (thanks for the PM of help ;) )

Anyway, anyone up for it?

By the way, just in case I was confusing, this threead is basically asking if anyone would be interested in emailing/posting a message about how they feel about Meat and his great performances :)

I am so in- what an excellent idea! As others have said, I will help in any way I can. Just let us know when/where/how. I saw on MTV Cribs where a group of fans had done this for a singer (a girl...I can't remember who- it's hell getting old, folks! :wink: ) Anyway, the singer said it was one of her prize posessions, and that she read it often when she needed strength- how cool would it be if we could do the same thing for Meat?!

Wow, everyone seems to want to give it a go!

Ok, I think it would be best to get the messages rolling so to speak, as I don't think this will be particularly rushed (wouldn't want to miss anyone off!).

If the mods will permit me to post an email address, I have set up one at:

meatmessages@yahoo.co.uk

Firstly this means all the messages can be in one account, plus it means I don't have to post my email address in a public forum ;)

Anyway, if anyone wants to send something, feel free, whether it be all about your history of liking meeat, or a short thanks.

There may be a posibility of adding some pictures, but I think it would be best only send messages at the moment, then pictures if and when we can use them.

By the way, anyone have suggestions on two things?:

1. Negative comments, I am guessing we shouldn't get any, but if we do, let's keep them to ourselves? ;)

2. What order do you reckon things should go? Should I keep a detailed log of when each message arrives, or sort out an order (possibly even random) later on?

I would probably do random. It would be easier in the long run than keeping a detailed log :wink:

If this is still going ahead .. Meat has come back to the forum, and his Tank You post indicates he is aware of the many of us who have supported him, I'd say

Negative comments have absolutely no place whatsoever in something such as this, no place at all

Order would be best decided random order and by how messages set upon the page, just the message and the name

I haven't been able to come on recently, ad I fried my motherboard the other day :(

Anyway, I can come on at Uni, and should have my home PC running in a few days.

As for dealines....ummm....

provisionally I would like to say Sunday 22nd February.

i think this will give everyone plenty of time, including people who may be away. Does anyone think this is too long? If so, i will bring in forward.

Any more ideas would be greatly received. At the mo random seems best on recommendation, mixing up message lengths etc to make it interesting, plus it means nobody is in a ruch to ge theirs done quickly to get near the front.

Hopefully I will be on enough to post regularly!

by the way I forgot to add....

I haven't had a chance to look at the emails that have been sent so far (thanks for the great support already!) but I was just wondering:

would people who are signing with their real name also like to add their forum username? That way Meat will know who we all are!

Anyway, you may have all done that already but i thought I would mention it for those that haven't.

I might start a new thread to let those people know who won't look in here that we are starting, hope the mods don't mind ;)
