i had a few problems but that was because of where we live, i.e. no
postcode, so it may have a few bugs?

I think that if you are a paid member of the OIFC Fan Club you automtically became of member of the new fan club until that membership expires.

That'll be it then I joined earlier in the year. thanks thought I had had a senior moment!!!!!

Yes, it does, R. But after you've filled everything out and agreed to their terms, you get an email back from them with another link to click. After you've done that, you are taken to a page which welcomes you into Meat's Official Fan Club!

I thought that was strange! That's more than a mailing list. Did any of you see this, too??

Thats right, the reply email states that you will be among the first to hear news of the launch of the new fan club, not that you actually a member!

well it wont let me register and i am not VERY happy at all

yes i have just reread it :oops: and you are right R, i have a good
excuse called an husband who had to try for me because it didnt like
my address and a few other things, so my hubby did all the "stuff" for me
then happily told me right your a member! :oops:
i will have to learn about these things called computers, so i can do things
my self....

Yay, I was so thrilled to so that the site was up! True, theres not much to it at the moment, but progress is progress! I'll be checking back often so I don't miss a thing.

That's very strange Gina .... it worked right away for me.
Maybe my OIFC membership had expired :??: You might want to
try sending a message to support@iventa.com.

Obviously 'Winston' is banned!! I did all that was required an got no e-mail back! What am I doing wrong???

i had a lot of problems to kept telling me to put in names again

Ok.. now it told me my email addy was being used by another member. Not good LOL... so I contaced support. I'm sure it being new, there are probably a few glitches being worked out. The only problem I had signing up was finding a user name that was not allready taken, that took several tries but finally got signed up.

Then I received a email that said:

By joining this mailing list, you will be the first to receive news about the launch of Meat Loaf's Official Fan Club, coming soon!
and:
Check back for more info about Meat Loaf Fan Club membership packages, merchandise and contests - exclusive only to Meat Loaf Fan Club members!

Not sure what all that means but I guess I will in time as the site begins to take on a personality of it's own.

As long as you signed up AND clicked the return email URL to verify, I think it's just a matter of waiting. My understanding is that the webmaster will email you as various areas of the site are up and running. I'm ready to explore it, hopefully it will be going full speed soon. (The same could be said about Meat, now that I think of it! :wink: )

That's what I'm waiting to find out too. It kept telling me I was already signed up. I never got any notice in my email or anything. I emailed tech support to find out for sure. Also..my apologies if this has already been addressed :) Thanks guys!!

Thanks.. I don't remember getting an email like that unless I accidently missed it or deleted it. So.. Guess that explains! :) well..except like you said..getting a username if you're already on there LOL. I'm still waiting to hear from tech support..maybe they'll answer that. Dottie have you posted on OIFC because then you have to give a username and your email so it could be you there already, does that make sense

It is not a pay site, but it is a fan club and there is a section where you can become a member and they have a special members only section too if you become a member.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I thought Angel was asking about the OIFC site and that's what I was referring to above about being not a pay site, but a fan club site with member option.

I just noticed I went from "Rookie" to "Junior Loafer". That is so great!!
See I am a fan, worked my butt off to get that name.
Anywho - I went on the new site and it sent me a welcome e-mail. Now what?? I can't get to anything or is the site still being built? We will see.

I sent off my membership form for the fan club at the beginning of the month, they've taken the cheque from my account, but I've not heard anything does anyone know how long it takes, I can't bare the agony of waiting for my pack to come through any longer!!!

p.s. I've signed up on the website too!!! Looking pretty cool .... signed up as the same name Shellyb01, so you'll know who to avoid!! :D

Sorry! I should of been more clear. My American computer doesn't work well here. It also didn't work well in Califonia. I just need a new one!!
