Meat's Hair - Long or Short???

What do you prefer? Meat's hair long or short?

Tim 26 Jul 2003 13:32

Well, actually i don't mind. But if i had to choose his hair is long. It was so much magical, so much Meat Loaf! It was better to see, more a rocker.

I allways wondered why he cut it. When i was younger, i tried to have the same hair as Meat Loaf, so also long hair...

So i voted Long Hair.

dottie 26 Jul 2003 13:44

Love the long hair on Meat, rockers never get old their hair just keeps growing

mariella 26 Jul 2003 13:56

I can't help it, really love the short hair! Think he looks so 'adorable'.
I feel, I am going to be 'alone' in my views on this topic. Heard many people say they think different.

heat 26 Jul 2003 14:16

I personally like the long hair. I think there is something incredibly sexy about a man with long hair

If i remember right - i think the reason he cut it was because of a role in a film, but in the end they said he needn't have cut his hair after all!!!

Terri 26 Jul 2003 15:13

I'm totally torn between the two!

I liked his long hair, and I agree with Tim!

But I also think how he has his hair now makes him look really gorgeous!

So I agree with you also Mariella!

So i'm in a dilema here, i can't decide!!!

Em 26 Jul 2003 15:26

You are not alone Mariella. I really like him with short hair. I agree with Heat about long hair being sexy on some men but on recent TV shows he definately looks sexy now with short hair.
I've loved his music for a long time but never really thought of him as attractive until now.

Testify 26 Jul 2003 15:34

i have to agree with Em and Mariella here! :D

Jayd 26 Jul 2003 15:45

Long hair was better, but I like him with short, smart looking. :D

parkymac 26 Jul 2003 17:17

I think his short hair is so much sexier. He really suits it - very nice!

Marianne 26 Jul 2003 18:26

For me Meat looked better with long hair.

When I saw the first foto with Meat's short hair I had to take several looks to it to be sure that it was Meat. My first reaction was Oh No

Now I'm used to it but I stil find it a pitty.

tukayaway 27 Jul 2003 04:24

Short - Now he's getting a little older, he looks more distinguished. But we know he's still a rocker at heart

shadow1000001 27 Jul 2003 05:32

I really love long hair on Meat. He just looks so sexy with it

 Have to agree with you there Mariella

I've only been a Meat Loaf fan for about 6 years, sadly did not discover how beautiful and amazing his music was till then.

But agree he did look great with long hair. know what Tim means when he said " it was better to see, more a rocker"

The Flying Mouse 27 Jul 2003 16:58

 Not that it matters much  ,but I thought he looked better with long hair.
The hair, the suit and the red hankie was a great look for him 8) .
It's a great regret of my life that I was never able to see him live like that :( .
Still, the music, the voice and the rock is still as great as ever  .

Shadows On The Wall 27 Jul 2003 20:37

Who cares, thats up to meat, he rocks either way

ROSIE 27 Jul 2003 21:32

It's short for me, makes him look more grown up!!!!!!!!!
Rosie

Sapphire Lady 27 Jul 2003 22:11

Definitely long.

I think Meat will always be associated with the long hair, larger than life, frilly shirt + red hanky look. Lovely

ROSIE 27 Jul 2003 22:18

The frilly shirt never quite did it for me, don't know why!!!

I couldn't agree more :)

Now this is just my opinion -- I certainly don't mean to offend anyone here on the forum -- but I just don't like the way older men look in long hair. I've seen guys like that at my father's store, and it looks terrible.

The long hair looked great when Meat was younger ..... especially on the Bad Attitude Live video ... but at his age, the short fits him better :)
He's definitely more sexy now ! And he can still rock :))

I like the frilly shirt .. but I absolutely adore that vest he's been wearing with the black shirt during the first US leg of the tour :) Hopefully he'll be wearing it in September too ! Love the red scarf ... glad to see he's brought that back :)

Now Viciki..i'm gonna hafta disagree with ya there hun... :D

I ADORE older men with long hair...mmmmm...especially if it's squeaky clean and they have a bit of a beard to go with it...and it's even better if they are a little larger than life too :P And if they have a hog...well that's me done in - i'm thiers...

Think i better go have a cold shower....

plukie 28 Jul 2003 17:36

I like long hair on men whether they are young or older as long as it is well kept. I hate lank, greasy long hair. :x

Beard huh? In all the pictures I've seen of Meat, he's always clean-shaven ... I wonder what he would like with a beard and mustache?
hmmmmm

Vicki

Evan 28 Jul 2003 18:18

I prefer Meat with the long hair. It makes him look like more of a rebel. I guess it's good that he's cut it off because if he went bald he'd have a sort of combover on top and long hair on the sides, which would look funny. He'd look like Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jim Steinman still has his long hair and it frightens me to think what would happen if one day Jim went bald and had the combover and long hair on sides look.

I really, really prefer the short hair, I think he is much sexier with it. But- there is one "benefit" to the long hair. I saw him in concert just over 10 years ago when he still had the long hair- I was front row and every time he shook his head I got sweat on. That may be creepy to some, but I was fairly thrilled by it. I may be a bit odd, perhaps.

Someone mentioned a beard....if he ever grew a goatee I fear I might go insane- I love men with goatees and moustaches, and it would just be too much!

Crystal Eyes 30 Jul 2003 13:13

Personally I love the short hair. Though I do agree that the long hair made him look more of a rocker I just didn't find it so attractive.

Will you please stop talking about beards and goatees. That would not look good on Meat.

i dont mind if its long or short meat allways looks grate but um i did pick lond he he did like it long

Bart 31 Jul 2003 10:17

Are there only women on this topic? :??:
I can't discover any man here.

In my opinion. In earlier days meat was indeed a rebel with a frightenend look in his eyes and long hair. Now, his eyes are more peaceful and adult. Long hair? Well, he is not a real rebel anymore. Okay, still a rebel, but more adult.

The Flying Mouse 31 Jul 2003 16:15

your opinion on meat

do you like meat with short hair or long hair?

RSG 30 Dec 2003 22:48

Meat looks awesome either way, lol.

In 1983 when he performed "The Promised Land" on CourtTV, I knew he was my Idol. Now in 2003 with the short hair, my opinion hasn't changed, he is still my idol. I don't really judge him by his hair anyway, but since you asked. It's ALL good

Note to self, may I never say "It's All Good" again.
Darn, I did it again.

black dog 30 Dec 2003 23:10

I prefer him with short hair now but think long hair suited him as well. I don't know if long hair would suit him as much now but that is a personal opinion.

plukie 30 Dec 2003 23:22

Haven't we had this thread before??

I prefer him with long hair.

DIZZY DRUMMER 30 Dec 2003 23:33

Now he is more ordinary.

I love the short hair- even shorter than he tends to wear it now. In the film "Rustin" he almost had a military flat top- my favorite!

All Meat needs is his presence and his talent for him to be magical on-stage for me :) Imo he changed to short hair at the right time, ie before he needed to which is the best time :)

Bart 31 Dec 2003 12:09

I prefer the beast. Long hair. Sweat. When i look at the sleeve of CHSIB i just see an ordinary 50-year-old. Distinguished gentleman.

Sue K 01 Jan 2004 16:54

... I like that there's so many pictures about of him at all stages that I can view him anyway I like him to look depending on my mood at the time... :D

No matter what... he's perfect just the way he is... however way he wants to be... looking fine in MY book ...

Lauren 03 Jan 2004 02:42

Bart used the perfect word for the short haired look - distinguished. I think he looked great with long hair but he chose the right time to change it and mmmm does it suit him!!!!

Emily 06 Jan 2004 18:50

SHORT HAIR!

ITS LOOKS FABULOUS

he looked fabulous with long hair too, but i reckon the short hair is better!

PanicLord 06 Jan 2004 22:31

For what it's worth, I reckon when he was young it looked great, but more "mature" men with long hair are dead creepy I reckon :)

Going short when he did was definitely the right choice.

little_dancer 06 Jan 2004 23:32

I gotta say, the long locks were SEXY<SEXY<SEXY :D

But he changed the cut at the right time, as a mature gentleman he looks ravishing with the short....more distinguished and less WILD (but I love wild!)

my vote is LONG :D
