Meat's Hair - Long or Short???
 

What do you prefer? Meat's hair long or short?

Well, actually i don't mind. But if i had to choose his hair is long. It was so much magical, so much Meat Loaf! It was better to see, more a rocker.

I allways wondered why he cut it. When i was younger, i tried to have the same hair as Meat Loaf, so also long hair... :lol:

So i voted Long Hair.

I can't help it, really love the short hair! Think he looks so 'adorable'.

I personally like the long hair. I think there is something incredibly sexy about a man with long hair :twisted:

If i remember right - i think the reason he cut it was because of a role in a film, but in the end they said he needn't have cut his hair after all!!!

I'm totally torn between the two!

You are not alone Mariella. I really like him with short hair. I agree with Heat about long hair being sexy on some men but on recent TV shows he definately looks sexy now with short hair.
I've loved his music for a long time but never really thought of him as attractive until now.

For me Meat looked better with long hair.

When I saw the first foto with Meat's short hair I had to take several looks to it to be sure that it was Meat. My first reaction was Oh No

Now I'm used to it but I stil find it a pitty.

I've only been a Meat Loaf fan for about 6 years, sadly did not discover how beautiful and amazing his music was till then.

But agree he did look great with long hair. know what Tim means when he said " it was better to see, more a rocker"

The hair,the suit and the red hankie was a great look for him 8) .
It's a great regret of my life that I was never able to see him live like that :( .
Still,the music,the voice and the rock is still as great as ever :twisted: .

I think Meat will always be associated with the long hair, larger than life, frilly shirt + red hanky look. Lovely :mrgreen:

Now this is just my opinion -- I certainly don't mean to offend anyone here on the forum -- but I just don't like the way older men look in long hair. I've seen guys like that at my father's store, and it looks terrible.

The long hair looked great when Meat was younger ..... especially on the Bad Attitude Live video ... but at his age, the short fits him better :)
He's definitely more sexy now ! And he can still rock :))

I like the frilly shirt .. but I absolutely adore that vest he's been wearing with the black shirt during the first US leg of the tour :) Hopefully he'll be wearing it in September too ! Love the red scarf ... glad to see he's brought that back :)

I ADORE older men with long hair...mmmmm...especially if it's squeaky clean and they have a bit of a beard to go with it...and it's even better if they are a little larger than life too :P And if they have a hog...well that's me done in - i'm thiers... :roll:

I like long hair on men whether they are young or older as long as it is well kept. I hate lank, greasy long hair. :x

I prefer Meat with the long hair. It makes him look like more of a rebel. I guess it's good that he's cut it off because if he went bald he'd have a sort of combover on top and long hair on the sides, which would look funny. He'd look like Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jim Steinman still has his long hair and it frightens me to think what would happen if one day Jim went bald and had the combover and long hair on sides look.

I really, really prefer the short hair, I think he is much sexier with it. But- there is one "benefit" to the long hair. I saw him in concert just over 10 years ago when he still had the long hair- I was front row and every time he shook his head I got sweat on. That may be creepy to some, but I was fairly thrilled by it. :oops: I may be a bit odd, perhaps.

Someone mentioned a beard....if he ever grew a goatee I fear I might go insane- I love men with goatees and moustaches, and it would just be too much! :lol:

Personally I love the short hair. Though I do agree that the long hair made him look more of a rocker I just didn't find it so attractive.

In my opinion. In earlier days meat was indeed a rebel with a frightenend look in his eyes and long hair. Now, his eyes are more peaceful and adult. Long hair? Well, he is not a real rebel anymore. Okay, still a rebel, but more adult.

In 1983 when he performed "The Promised Land" on CourtTV, I knew he was my Idol. Now in 2003 with the short hair, my opinion hasn't changed, he is still my idol. I don't really judge him by his hair anyway, but since you asked. It's ALL good

I prefer him with short hair now but think long hair suited him as well. I don't know if long hair would suit him as much now but that is a personal opinion.

I love the short hair- even shorter than he tends to wear it now. In the film "Rustin" he almost had a military flat top- my favorite!

All Meat needs is his presence and his talent for him to be magical on-stage for me :) Imo he changed to short hair at the right time, ie before he needed to which is the best time :)

I prefer the beast. Long hair. Sweat. When i look at the sleeve of CHSIB i just see an ordinary 50-year-old. Distinguished gentleman.

... I like that there's so many pictures about of him at all stages that I can view him anyway I like him to look depending on my mood at the time... :D

Bart used the perfect word for the short haired look - distinguished. I think he looked great with long hair but he chose the right time to change it and mmmm does it suit him!!!!

For what it's worth, I reckon when he was young it looked great, but more "mature" men with long hair are dead creepy I reckon :)

Going short when he did was definitely the right choice.

I gotta say, the long locks were SEXY<SEXY<SEXY :D

But he changed the cut at the right time, as a mature gentleman he looks ravishing with the short....more distinguished and less WILD (but I love wild!)

in his 20's he looked lovely with it long but in his 50's the short certainly looks better.
