Favorite Song from The Guilty Pleasure CD
I think all the songs on the cd are great, but my favorite song at present is Bone Yard/All Revved Up. I just love the guitar solo's by Randy and Paul :)
|
I would have to say my favorite is Stand in the Storm and then Hot Patootie :)
|
I'd do anything for love oddly (normally one I avoid so I don't get sick of it) but I'm addicted the intro is pure perfection
|
Bat Out Of Hell
Two Out Of Three The intro of Anything For Love |
Break It
Hot Patootie Took The Words and Los ANgeloser Rock & Roll Dreams above all on the DVD tho |
Favourite full song on there has got to be BOOH, one of the most stunning live versions I've heard in a long time, so full of energy - that sceam in the middle kills me!
However, I would buy the whole CD just to hear the new Anything For Love intro, which is a stroke of genius. |

Intro to AFL is downright amazing, ESP in high volume in the car! But my all-time favorite song LIVE will ever be "Took the Words." :)

Bat, but it's a shame that Rock and Roll dreams wasn't put on it.
|
Anything for love, Two outta three, Los Angeloser, Bat & ripped from the DVD; Rock 'n' Roll Dreams.
|
Stand in the Storm, Los Angeloser, and You Took the Words are my favorites. The duet part of AFL is killer. I love almost every song on the cd. The only thing I would have changed- I would prefer RNR Dreams over Two Out of Three on the cd.

After listening to the CD several times in my car, I still can't pick out a favorite song. I keep catching myself singing along :-) but I did figure out the other day that it's hard to clap along to Los Angeloser when you're driving  Good thing I was at a red light :lmao:
|
I was on the fence about it at first but this CD has renewed my love for AFL, it amazing what a new intro can do to freshen a song that you've heard hundreds of times

From the CD, though, I have to say the All Revved Up / Freebird / Boneyard medley. |

Boneyard for sure - mainly for the Freebird riff that is beautifully executed by Lords Crook and Flowers...
|
Stand in the Storm and Anything for Love. The lyrics to AFL get me everytime and the beautiful delivery by Patti & Meat.

One minor bit that niggles me is either I am hearing things or on Stand in the storm they have either sampled or are adding an effect to Patti's voice during parts of the chorus.
Its not that I don't like the way it sounds per-se more that I think Patti's voice is so good it does not need tampering with electronically. |

Two OUTTA three. that SOLO!!!!!!!
|
I don't have a CD but if the recordings are the same as the DVD.. It's ALL good.. especially the Boneyard All Revved Up.. w/ the Freebird in the middle. I like how Paul and Meat has their thing. And Meat and Randy have theirs... like on Boneyard, a single fender and Meat vocal... something they been doing since '03, '04 with misc. songs. fantastic!!!
|
I wish there was a cd from the Mad, Mad World tour. The best versions I have ever heard of Stand in the Storm, Anything For Love, Bat, and 2 Out of 3 were on the MMW tour.
|
i think 2 outta 3 was my fave, mainly due to ginnys violin

Yeah... Here's where the phasing issue rears it's ugly head. I just covered this in my PRODUCTION thread. Best, P |
