Meat's Knees....
Sincerely hoping the op isn't too bad and you recover quickly, and stronger than ever.
Don't know exactly when you go under the knife Meat, but let me be the first to wish you a speedy and complete recovery. Let us know exactly when and we will be thinking of you on the day, and wishing you the best throughout your recovery. |

Seriously though, it's only knee surgery. I imagine that ML can afford good surgeons, so Dr.Nick won't be doing the work. "Well if isn't Meat Loaf. With an arm for a leg and a leg for an arm." :D |
Get well soon Meat! Hope you're up and about in no time.
|
Get well soon Big Man, may I recommend lots of TLC and G&T!
|
Maybe wait till the Doctors give you the all clear before you get down on them and Testify huh?
Hope all goes well, and having been through a couple of minor knee operations in the past myself, from bitter experience - make sure you do ALL your physio afterwards! |
Get well soon, Meat. You've come up against worse than this before and triumphed, and I know you'll triumph again.
|
Good luck :) Cannot wait to see you next year so take care of yourself :D
|
I'll think of you Meat !! I always think of you but on that thay I'll think of you even more if that is still possible !! I'll send you feel better thoughts and hugs to ease the pain...Take good care of yourself, love you ! XO

Meat,
I know you will tackle this challenge like an athlete....yeah, it's gonna hurt, but in the end you'll be in a much more comfortable state than you have been leading up to and dealing with the foreplay of "procedures" on them. Focus on the rehab/physio with your tenacious drive and it'll be a okay. Cheers to a successful surgery and recovery! Much love, Suzanne |

Good luck with your operation, Meat, and be brave and positive about it (coming from someone who hurt their knee 8 months ago and won't go to the doctor)! Let us know how it went and I might listen to you and do something about mine:)

Take care meat your fans on here all want you fit and well

I go in for Surgery on Nov19th... hoping for it to be straight forward, the Dr told us my knee looked completely different than what he has seen before. It was pushed out and to the left. Normally 99% turn in and right. He said it might be nothing but won't know till he get's inside. I am hoping all my tendons can be saved . That is my one fear. If they replace tendons the recovery is much longer !! I am afraid I tore a tendon on that movie Stage Fright, doing a stunt. If I drank Beer I would toast all of you right now !

Hey Meat, I love you and hope that everything goes well on Monday, please keep us posted if you can, I know it's going to be a rough road as I hear about it everyday (I'm a pharmacy technician). Take care of yourself, listen to the docs and the therapists and be the fighter that you are! I'll raise my glass of wine to you have a speedy recovery. I'll be worried to death on Monday honestly but I know you will pull through! Love you!!!

I will toast to you, but the stiffest I have at the moment is a bottle of H2O (it's a work night). Sidebar: A stunt  You are really trying to make me worry! Request (please): Do you think you can throw out a courtesy status somewhere, when you are up to it, and after surgery is complete to let all us mother hens off the hook of worry on Nov. 19th? Pretty Please and thank you in advance. Suz. |

As one of the "mother hens" I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery Meat.
Been a registered nurse for 16 years, I just recently went back to Med/Surg floor nursing a month ago. We get a lot of bilateral knees. I am astonished to see how incredibly advanced ortho has become over the years. I know in my heart you will do just fine. Undeniably a painful, major surgery but I also know, just from being a huge fan, you have what it takes...endurance!! From my experience, when it's over and you are fully recovered and pain free...you will feel like the six million dollar man with "bionic" knees!! I watched you run across the stage 8 shows this year in AWE, I can't even imagine what you'll be like in 2013!! PCA, CPM, and PT are a must! Nurse's orders! ;) You will be in my thoughts and prayers on Monday and as always. Love ya!! xo ~Karen |

As a knee sufferer.....
Good luck Meat! As someone who has had dodgy knees for many years, which click in and out at the most inappropriate times, and grind more than Charlie Sheen, I wish you the very best for a quick recovery from the op.

Got word a little while ago from someone close to Meat. The surgery went fine. He was out of recovery.......and cracking jokes!

Like I said on Facebook, that sounds typical of him, but wait until the drugs wear off lol.
Great to hear it's gone well though. |

Now that Meat is skipping up and down the ward, I hope his renewed athleticism will mean a revival of his show-concluding roly polies. As a safety precaution Mr. Crook and Mr. Flowers can act as human buffers either end of the stage to halt any excessive momentum.
|
Get well soon dude, Take your time, you will be able to jump to your left soon and then maybe a step to the right :)

Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while and spent the last couple of days catching up. I hope the operation and the recovery is going well. I hope the tendons were saved too and I hope you haven't been in too much pain and managed to keep yourself and your mind as busy as you can as I know recovery can be pretty boring if you're limited to what you can do. Take care and hope to hear from you soon! All the best Ollie x |
Let me tell you this, the pain during the 4th week is still unbelievable . Can't move around for much more than 45mins. Spoke to a baseball manger who is in his 8th week and he said the pain is less and started to get less in the 7th week . It will get better I know it just seems like forever.
