I rather think he may not be doing traditional songs, but I would LOVE this one :)

Deena J 07 Nov 2012 03:51

"Do you hear what I hear"

One of my 2 favorite Christmas songs, especially when done as a duet!!!! :D

Other fave is "Oh Holy Night".

JennaG 07 Nov 2012 09:03

I'd like to hear him do Fairytale of New York. :D

I would like it if they'd manage to stay away from standards and covers. Personally, I don't see the point of Meat doing another christmas album filled with the same material.

That is, unless they'd do Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You. That I'd like to see.

Evil Ernie 07 Nov 2012 09:50

I would like it if he did a holiday album of christmas standards. Even though I don't appreciate the context of the lyrics, the music is beautiful. The art is the only good thing that religion has ever done. I would love a ML version of 'We Three Kings'.

However I expect it to be a Christmas rock album with some standards and some originals.

Cherry.Loaf 07 Nov 2012 09:56

I'm very excited to hear the Imelda May duet :D

PanicLord 07 Nov 2012 22:50

Is Brave and Crazy the Christmas album or is that an extra one?

Anyway, Fairytale of New York would be awesome with Imelda. I love covers where the artist does something original with it and makes it their own.

A Winter's Tale as a duet with Bonnie Tyler?

Sleigh Ride.

Very excited anyway I wonder when it's out! Must be either any day soon or not for another year surely?

Meat's voice would fit this song like a glove. Be a shame if he does not include it.

Kev 09 Nov 2012 15:02

szakal88 09 Nov 2012 15:07

Every song but Last Christmas...

Smithie 09 Nov 2012 15:49

Silent Night and O Holy Night as a duet with Patti.

GDW 09 Nov 2012 16:10

A New World Christmas.:shock::??:

Meat Loaf_fan 09 Nov 2012 19:20

Duets :cheer:? Maybe with Reba ? Or maybe with someone from rest of the world (for example : Robbie Williams:cool:).

Tomjoad 09 Nov 2012 21:06

Perfect Christmas Night. As Patti recalls, she sang it on The Grinch soundtrack but never got credit for it.

PanicLord 15 Nov 2012 23:08

So I'm guessing this album must be next year then?

Sue K 19 Nov 2012 18:46

Happy Monday, meatie peeps ...

I'd like an album with nice, traditional songs on it ... any that have been mentioned would do for me ... I don't have a meatie album with traditional Christmas songs... and with 'Imself having surgery today... AND I HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL... LOVE YA ... we'll be waiting until Christmas 2013 and that's fine... another thing to look forward to and live for... It keeps ya going, y'know ? ... lol ... and then, Christmas 2014 all you youngins can have your wild, rockin' far out meatie Christmas cd ... ;) ... xo

lorenzoduke 20 Nov 2012 16:17

I can't see any way on earth it'll be out this year - Christmas CDs tend to have US releases in the last week of October, then mid November for Europe. It'd be foolish to rush release now, especially with Meat recuperating from his surgery and therefore unable to do the promo rounds.

I agree. Anything that came out in December would be fighting against Cowell's latest X-factor assault anyway. Something to look forward to for 2013 :D
