Which football teams do you support?

As I am sitting here on a saturday afternoon watching Sky Sports and all the scores coming through, I got to wonder which teams people support?

I am a tad greedy as I support two teams with equal passion:
Wycombe Wanderers and Barnsley.

Apologies if this has been asked before and I also appreciate that some just do not like the beautiful game!!

AndyK 12 Nov 2011 17:49

Leeds Utd ... although it's hardly the beautiful game the way they play...

Yep, Blue Square lol

SueL 12 Nov 2011 18:31

 Just as I haven't heard of your teams, you won't have heard of mine:

College ball: Penn State
Pro ball: Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Bucs, Washington Redskins

(I'm fickle with the pros! But, it has nothing to do with whether they win or lose. It just depends upon my mood, and who I'm watching the game with! :lawl:)

:cheer:

Oops...and you're not talking U.S. FOOTBALL, are you??? You're talking our SOCCER, your FOOTBALL.

Wine, women, and song  (well, cider, Joanne, and rock n roll  )

When it comes to football, i'm a bit like Switzerland.

Completly neutral, a little bit cuckoo, and willing to accept any crates of gold you want to give me

My favourite football team is West Coast Eagles. It is the most famous team of the world. I like the players passions of this team. Its game is very interesting.

robgomm 13 Dec 2011 19:23

My team (Liverpool) are really struggling for goals at the moment. Most chances made by anyone, hit the woodwork more than anyone, can't score enough goals. Also we've been on the end of some really poor refereeing this season. I think we're having a really unlucky season. We've only played badly twice this season, we deserve to be far better off than we are.

Pay £35,000,000.00 for a striker, that'll sort it :D

Yeah he deserves a lot of credit, but my team (Manchester United) are in crisis, our defence are so open, we lack quality in midfield and de gea is the biggest waste of money ever, we need to sign wes sneidjer and we need tom cleverley back from injury, doesn't help when nemanja vidic and darren fletcher are out for the rest of the season. :/

Sue

I love watching American football... Those big guys in tight leggings bashing into one another... grrrabbing... for the ball ... I live in Philadelphia and the Eagles is ... or is that "are" ... the hometeam ... but it pishes me to watch them because the organization for some reason won't get rid of the head coach, Andy Reid !!! Thirteen freakin' years and no Super Bowl ring !!! They've taken us to the SB a couple times, but not all the way. I see head coaches being let go left and right for less !!! ... Gawd... Anyroad... I watch the teams with the hottest guys ... rolling... Having long blond hair helps, ie Clay Matthews of Green Bay ... I'm not looking forward to this year's SB... but I'll be watching... I like the ads... and... MAYbe there's some hot long-haired guy on one of the teams I've missed... ;) ... lol ...

S ... who's well aware she's gone from "cougar" status to dirty old lady ... lol ... xo

Really pleased with Liverpool yesterday. I really thought we were going to lose. The first half just wasn't good enough. But second half was a LOT better from us, plus Kenny made good changes and the team raised their game.

Yeah it's all gone to crap today. It seems like since Gerrad has come back Kenny has changed tactics. We were playing a 442 earlier in the season, but now we seem to be set up as a 4231, like the Rafa Benitez days, and we're just too negative, plus Kenny doesn't seem to know what his best team is. Downing has been a crap signing for us overall, haederson hasn't been good enough either. As for Luis, well Kenny really needs to give him a good smack round the head for being so stupid today. In his program notes Kenny said that Luis was going to shake Evra's hand, and then he didn't. So he's undermined his manager and made himself look stupid.

Look, it's obvious that Luis still feels he did nothing wrong, and I do sympathise with him because there are cultural differences, but he has to accept it's not acceptable in this country and that by this countries rules he did do wrong. He should have just shaken hands and moved on, now he's made it worse again.

chairboys 05 Mar 2012 18:51

From Martin Samuel's column in the Mail today:

"Avram Grant was at Wembley to watch Engalnd play Holland on Wednesday night. Well, you would be, as the new manager of Partizan Belgrade. Anyway, Grant took charge of his first game on saturday having arrived during Serbia's winter break, with Partizan 10 points clear on the back of four consecutive titles.
He has worked his magic already. Partizan's lead now stands at eight points having been held to a draw by third-from-bottom Novi Pazar. Watch this space"

made me laugh, anyway

Since we don't get soccer on free to air tv here, I can't say I follow any teams. But in the best game in Australia, being Rugby League, I say the Parramatta Eels (although this year they're playing terribly), NSW (in state of origin), and in our local competition it is the Guyra Spuds :)

Battybarb 19 Jul 2012 23:17

chairboys....... 2nd grandson has now been brainwashed lol
