Meat Loaf Lyrical Tattoos
 

Hi everyone! I searched for something similar, but what I found seemed old, so I started a new topic. If this is in the wrong place then I’m sorry – knowing my luck it probably is :(

For several years I’ve had the idea that I wanted a lyrical tattoo on my forearm, and I wanted that lyric to be from a Meat Loaf song. Since I've turned 18, its become something I've thought about much more than I did previously. I’m struggling to come up with the lyrics which I want to use - just when I find one I love, I find another I love just as much! Anyway, here’s my question:

If you were to have a lyric from a Meat Loaf song tattooed on yourself, which lyric would it be and why?

I hope that I’ll get some inspiration from the replies which might help me to make my decision!

If I wanted something meaningful to me rather than comedy/ironic then it'd definitely be something from R&R Dreams - I always loved "the angels had guitars even before they had wings", that's a great lyric.

Thought for sure it would have been an arched belly tat (over the belly button) of the word "Masculine" or "California" with an arrow pointing you know where.....hmpfh, I was wrong again. :p

That's good, or depending how long of a quote you want, some part of:

The first thing that came to my mind was also something from R&R Dreams, like:

"When you really, really need it the most
That's when Rock and Roll Dreams come through"

"I can barley fit my dick in my pants" over my forehead

1. I played drums for about 10 years and still dabble in it; and

Yeah it is great stuff, but I don't think it's the best version i've ever heard. I've heard better from that era, and I also think some of the performances from this year were better than that because they have made the best arrangement of it ever with the sax, acoustic guitar and everything.

I've got heaven can wait on my arm and I love it!

Well wrapped around both my forearms I have "Is it so hard to see that we're all the same machine" and "Don't we all live and die under the same blue sky" they mean alot to me and as this was similar to something the 2 people I've ever been close to would say and sadly they're not with me anymore so it's for me AND them and Meat and Sean McConnell summed their saying up with those lyrics.

I think the lines "and one more tear falls in the river, she watches it wash away" or "one more breath flies up to heaven, just begging for change" would make a great tattoo :)

Or what about "some days it dont come easy, some days it dont come hard"

Depends what part of the body you have in mind. :rly:

We were working at a Comic Con event last year (as you do!), this guy went past and I spotted "Bad For Good" tattooed across his wrist. I went out to talk to him and it turned out that the tattoos all over his arms were various Meat Loaf lyrics! No pictures, just covered in song titles!

There's personal reasons behind this but my sister said that one day she wants me to get 'breathing is no fun any more' (from Out Of The Frying Pan) as a tattoo.

One day...I might just do it.
