Gary Busey on the Tonight Show TONIGHT
While not Meat himself, Gary will be on and no doubt will be talking about him and Meat. Hopefully he will shed some positive light :)
Thanks to VickiP for the info. Leno airs on NBC at 11:35 EST |
Oh....oh gawds

grrrr I'm getting a bit fed up with this guy making out that he is the wee innocent victim a part of me wishes meat would do an interview and set the record straight that there was other crap that happened off camera that led to meat getting angry over the paints and to be honest I don't get the whole genius thing I have a cousin who plays the same card acting all deep and connected saying things that you would read in a fortune cookie and really he is just a tw*t who spend all his time thinking of crap to say to make him seem intelligent, I really hope that the pain that busey really is comes to light because i find it hard to sit back and see a really nice sweet guy like meat get the short straw all his team mates stick by him because he is a good guy they know it, it is that the just the gullible viewers don't, meat was really nice and kind to me when i met him even though i got starstruck and barely spoke he made me laugh and gave me a hug and kiss on the head after telling me to come over to a corner of the tent with him because he was shy too, i didn't because I was too dumbfound and wasn't sure if he was joking anyway my brother went up after me and he said to him i hope you don't want a kiss too lol sorry long post but I had to vent - meat love ya -

nah its not that it makes meat out to be the bad guy its just that they dont show the background just make it out to be an incident over paints I am more reffering to busey on the tonight show making out that the team want him gone due to jealousy etc and that idiot on the view making out meat was the bad guy that should have been fired I just think it sucks that the whole story isn't out there and people are pre judging, I am from the UK too I watch it on youtube ;)
|
Quick observation:
Gary has been on how many talk shows since the incident? Way TOO MANY! Why? Not because his version of the event is sooo "accurate", but because it attracts viewers... That's all its about. They don't really care about what happened, they just care about the hype... (Why els do they only invite Gary over? Why has nobody invited Meat {just a presumption, because i don't see him on any talk shows}) I still think that Gary didnt think much of the confrontation until Meat apologized... . Anyway! We Still Love You Meat :D:lol: |

He and what happened will soon be yesterday's news, and Meat looks the better man for apologising and moving on without blaming or making excuses. Plus people will watch the rest of the shows and see the Meat we know, and who has been terrific in everything he's done throughout the series so far, apart from just a minute or so loss of patience and composure. Busey somehow manages a career with his erratic way of going about things. Imo Meat, who continually earns respect on every film set he works on, and still has us queuing to get into his shows will be just fine ;) Caryl |

People don't tend to blow up like that for no reason. |
But what percentage of chatshow / Youtube viewers are intelligent enough to realise this?

The naysayers and the negative thinkers are going to have a negative opinion no matter what someone else says. They aren't even going to try to see another side of it. The only info they will pay attention to is that which supports their already preconceived, judgemental negative opinion. For me to attempt to post anything in defense of Meat is only adding fuel to the fire and giving them more of a chance to continue posting their negativity. There is a saying "You can't have a battle of wits with an unarmed person." And these people are witless. These people are just going to continue saying their ignorant, negative, judgemental, baseless accusations and opinions. As much as it irritates and saddens me, I can't do much about it. All I can say is that Meat is human, I am a fan and I will continue to support him. And I have to just let it go |

But those people are more likely to buy a Justin Bieber CD than a Meat Loaf album anyway, so no big loss  |

Who knows what he's going to say? Quote:

People on youtube? It's best not to argue with them because the people who say things about Meat are the ones who have never liked him, and arging with them just keeps dragging something on that would quickly die a death if was allowed. The more you tell people they are wrong the more they dig their heels in. Quote:
I honestly wouldn't worry about that program having any negative effect on Meat's career. |

I am always pleasantly surprised at how many people I meet over here who know who he is, like his music and his shows, and generally have the impression he's a good bloke. I doubt their view will change because of this, and I can't see his US fans changing because of a manic actor blowing smoke and claiming everyone had a down on him. Those who go to concerts go for a great night out, which they'll still have. Those who follow his career more closely will probably suspect there's more to it than Busey's account, and if it matters to them will probably look a bit closer and see that there is. I agree, it's over and done. Meat will continue to be successful long after this bit of internet titillation is forgotten, and the less it's a hot topic the quicker that will happen. Sunday evening something else will kick off in CA and that will occupy the minds and indignant fingers from last week. Caryl |

Have you actually watched Gary's full appearance on THe Tonight Show? |
You can't possibly be 100% sure that Gary lied unless you were there, which I assume you weren't.

Well I don't know what stories are true. Meat said here that the bag with paint that was found was from Busey and Gary used Meat's paint.
Here is a clip from Lil John at Lopez. At the 5.15 mark. Lopez asks if Meat was right and Lil Jon says 'No Meat just snapped, Gary didn't take his stuff it was somewhere in a corner.'
Oh well, it's not gaining Meat any fans, this way. In the end, people know/remember nothing about this series except that Meat lost it over some paint. Wario says Meat made TV history... Basically Wario says this is a scene that makes people laugh about Meat several times a year when it comes back in all those silly 'Top 25 moments of reality tv' or something. This scene will always be pulled out of context. It's Meat's 'Michael Jackson dangling his kid from the window' moment. I don't like it a single bit. Garey actually looks like the sane person here. I mean... WTF! |

It's one incident (and Michael Jackson had many). It's done and gone. Meat can't do any more than he did, which was apolgise and take responsibility, and dwelling on it won't change anything, nor help him imo. Meat's still the same decent man and great performer he's always been, and that's what will really count imo, and should certainly count with his fans who have much more on which to base their impressions than one episode of a reality show. Caryl |
I think this is being blown out of all proportion - it isn't going to be remembered like any of the Michael Jackson incidents; it's no way near that big. It's a reality TV moment, and it's over, and anyone with eyes can see that it's out of the context of events that happened.

There's a reason Lil' Jon went along with what the editors did. Lil' Jon could've been in trouble if he let loose the fact the bag was not Meat's on a national TV show like Lopez. He may not be allowed to go to the finally or may strike his chances of winning if hes in the final two. At this moment the meat fight is whats probably gonna bring in the ratings for this week's episode. If people find out some of it was edited in gary's favor, it may backfire on ratings. Let the public think what they want to think.
Its just reality TV. Meat said himself "I think I recover" and he sure will. people aren't violating his FB wall with abusive messages, which tells you at least something. I bet you 50 bucks this will all be forgotten once the NeNe fight hits and that makes the headlines. |

LIL Jon is not going on TV and telling you what Gary is really like !! now is he. I wouldn't either. I will be doing some TV in the next month. I didn't want to until the next show ran. Some more light will be shed on Gary this week. I am the best thing to happen to Gary Busey in 20 years. In the end it won't help him. |

This clip is all over the internet. Celeb Apprentice isn't that big in the world and people -not following CA- only see snippets on the internet. Look at you tube right now and search for celebrity apprentice and you get 'Meat Loaf meltdown' clips on the first 3 pages. Search for Meat Loaf and you get the same. In fact the clip is bigger than the entire show. No it's not as big as Michael Jackson because Meat doesn't have MJ's fanbase. Two weeks ago Meat Loaf was "that fat guy from Bat Out of Hell and Anything for Love" now he is "that old moron who loses his temper over paint and needs anger managment". Sorry but I don't like that I'm sure things will pass etc etc. But I prefer when my friends talk about the guy of Bat or AFL. That makes it more likely they try to listen to his latest album. Quote:

Well nobody looks at the Lopez show anyway
I just hope this isn't going to be the subject that is gonna highlight the HiaB promo interviews etc. I'm sure you can 'joke it off' but I guess it would be annoying if it keeps mentioned when it should be about the album/music. All in all there will be a relativly short amound of time between this 'internet hit' and the September release of the Album. |
On the other hand if the 'Meat exploded because of some paint' clip results in more TV exposure for Meat and the opportunity to plug the album, then it can't be all bad.

I remain convinced that this is an internet gossip fest that will be replaced as quickly with the next one. He didn't eat a live kitten for heaven's sake! And anyway, people don't buy his records and go to shows because they expect to see an unassuming gentle crooner in a cardigan and slippers .. they expect to see fire, passion, a big rocker with a huge stage personality. I give you huge credit for trying to help him out. I didn't expect that anyone from the show would shedding much light about Gary for a bit. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about the whole thing :-) If people can't understand the fact that what is aired on reality tv is not always the whole story well...so be it. The whole "melt down" thing...whatever. My opinion of you won't change. :-) It hasn't for the 30 + years I have followed your career. You are a survivor, this whole thing will blow over once people get bored enough. Shea |

He's shit (and these were music vids, not vids recorded by fans at a concert on a phone). He's everything that Meat Loaf is not (but perhaps that's the point to you), but I wonder how many people will tell you that he adds a fresh new perspective to your brand new sound? Once you said "if I ever get hip, shoot me". Somewhere between then and now something has gone horribly wrong  |

the song Lil Jon is doing does not necessarily mean its going to be hip hop. Jon and Meat are good friends and want to do a song together. John Rich and Mark McGrath are also going to be in the song, so its gonna be VERY interesting. :) |

 Maybe you're right. I just can't fit the words "Meat Loaf" "rapper" "duet" "exciting" "good" "in this or any other alternate reality" into the same sentence. |
sniper riffles at the ready!!!! Meats about to release an album with no long hair and white frilly shirts, with no 70,s power ballads!!!! how dare he move forward:lol:

Quote:
Just pretend in an alternate reality "Do It!" was a duet with biggie smalls: Man, Meat Loaf is a great rapper and the duet with biggie smalls was exciting, fresh, and good! |

David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, Puff Daddy and Faith Evans, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John... I'm all For uncommon Duets! Whether it Meat+ Lil Jon, Meat+ ABBA or Meat+ David Guetta... Meat's unique approach to music is what captivates me

Mark McGrath, guitar driven rock; John Rich, country; Lil John, rap.
Perhaps it will be 4 men who have become friends and who are all in the music business singing a song that Meat has chosen to have a fit in his next album? As with Meat's apple pie, I'll wait until I've sampled it before I put my Masterchef judge's hat on ;) I'm a MEAT fan; love his rock, love his ballads. I also love his current sound, and I can't see him turning his back on that; he says he's been recording with the whole band, and on the performances I've seen this tour, that'll do nicely thank you :-) Caryl |
Quote:
Doesn't matter what hat i'm wearing. Likewise, if you put a rapper on a song, i'm not going to listen to it because I don't want my ears to bleed. |
I know i keep bringing up this example, but this reminds me of the JayZ - Mr Hudson collaboration... Mixing up a rock /classics with raps isnt easy, but if they can do it Meat sure as hell can! As a fan I believe everybody should give him the benefit of the doubt... Meat is experienced enough to decide which projects he should jump at, and if he wants to do this, its because he knows it will work ;)

I don't like rap, but I doubt we'll hear the four of them rapping. It's one song on an album. Four men from different musical genres, three of whom AREN'T rappers. No strychnine, just a song, and I am certain my ears won't bleed when I listen to it. Will I like it? I hope so. When will I know? When I listen to it. What's the worst that can happen? I might not like that track, and will use my healthy ears to listen to the others.

I'm not a fan of rap either. Just because he usually sings rap, doesn't mean he will sing rap on this album, he will sing whatever style Meat is singing for the album and whatever fits. I'm sure he can be versatile and adapt and sing rock. Like Caryl, I will reserve judgement until I hear it myself, and am sure my ears won't bleed either.

Meat....I don't know what your relationship is with Gary, if there is one, but he is a moron. I feel sorry for the injuries he has suffered, and if that's why he is the way he is.....well, I'm sorry for that too. I can't pin it all on that though. I have no idea how you and the rest of the guys put up with him! Note to Donald Trump: if replay is now acceptable in Major League Baseball......let's use it in Celebrity Apprentice. There have been numerous instances where people have outright lied.....like Gary did last night. I think it would be great for Trump to go to the tape and see who's telling the truth. It won't happen, but Busey really pissed me off last night!!! I have no idea how this whole thing turns out Meat, but you have certainly shown yourself to be a class act. That's no surprise to those like me who have followed your career for over 30 years, but it's nice that others get to see you as the man we know you are. |
