Meat Loaf - Mix Out Of Hell

I hope I didn't buy this off any one of you lot on Ebay! What an absolute load of rubbish! Has anyone else got it! I paid £18 for it like a complete tool!

Wario 03 Nov 2010 13:11

that the thing with the "remix" of razor's edge, the "alternate version" of If You Really Want To, and the "extended version" of Promised Land but im actuality Razors edge and IYRWT are the album versions and Promised Land is the same length?

I think you're thinking of the Twelve Inch Remixes EP. IIRC, Mix Out of Hell is a bootleg with unauthorized remixes.

they're crappy home-made extended edits with cheapo Hallowe'en sound effects over the top. Completely pointless. I bought a copy from a market stall in around 1994/5 and listened to it once

LucyK! 04 Nov 2010 16:24

You voluntarily paid £18 plus postage for a boot/compilation album?

I think this place has started getting to people's heads...

The Flying Mouse 04 Nov 2010 17:26

 I'm sure much more has been spent on much less  .
It's all a matter of perspectivem, and if Kev was led to believe that this was a rare official CD of alternate edits (something like the 12" mixes CD), £18 would be pretty cheap.
It's all down to perspective at the end of the day.

I can't be arsed going through all the posts, but didn't someone spend a small fortune on a fake Meat Loaf gold disc not long ago?

Elijah's way 05 Nov 2010 07:13

I bought a copy a few years ago and yeah it's a steaming turd. whoever sells that crap should have the shit beat out of them!!

They have had the shit beaten out of them. It was then rolled into a flat sheet, cut into circles, put into CD cases and sold on ebay ...

Kev 05 Nov 2010 13:36

Oh come on! I'm trying to get rid of this! stop shitting on it hah!

It really is absolute poop though.

I'm sure we've all picked up something we thought was rare and fantastic and its turned out to be crap hah so leave me alone Lucy! :P

Wario 05 Nov 2010 14:06

I really like it XD

Kev 05 Nov 2010 14:33

Erm...no :))

Wario 05 Nov 2010 20:36

come to think of it, listening to this...

its really your own fault for buying this Kev. Its clearly called "Mix out of Hell". cant get a much more straight forward title then that....

LucyK! 05 Nov 2010 20:37

Yeah to be fair the clue was in the title!

Kev 06 Nov 2010 12:31

Not really, it could have been anything! I was half expecting all the radio/single edits of the tracks for some reason.

You could say that about "Chat Out of Hell", but it didn't stop me buying it ...

It's OK Dave, I was given mine by someone who had bought more than one copy!

Wario 06 Nov 2010 19:23

CHat out of hell was a very interesting cd to be honest. I learned a lot. and I also learned of meat's hatred for S&M

Pudding 06 Nov 2010 20:45

I don't think there's hardly anything Meat Loaf/Steinman related where someone on here hasn't got it, a simple asking around would probably save people a lot of money.

yep, namely Fire Ball Himself

Pudding 06 Nov 2010 20:58

Not at all :nope: he'd be one of the last people I'd listen to as he's not exactly unbiased ;)

I know of at least three occasions where Meat has been asked to sign an official record/cd or some other piece of official merchandise and he's not known of its existance prior to that moment.

I was talking about his "provate collection"

Pudding 07 Nov 2010 03:42

That makes even less sense  First of all you have no idea what he has or hasn't in his 'private collection' and as Andy pointed out, there's things out there that he isn't even aware of, yet some fans are. They are the stuff people like Kev collects and from time to time get ripped off because they're a pile of stinking shit.

If I had recorded Sailor to a Siren I'd quickly forget it too :))

Elijah's way 07 Nov 2010 16:20

I love Sailor to a Siren

Evil One 07 Nov 2010 16:28

I'd given up a while back on picking up Meaty stuff, don't have the time anymore and funds are used in better places.

I've sold it now for £10 so some other unlucky person can have the pleasure of it hah :)

happens all the time, I've met a few famous people and they have asked me where something I got signed came from. Most of them seem to let someone else handle it, I suppose their managers.
