Meat Loaf on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011 ?
I know we've seen rumors about this before. But I wonder if it could actually be true :??:
http://www.gossipcop.com/meatloaf-ma...ty-apprentice/ I don't know how the show works. But I've also read somewhere that filming starts next week in NY, so maybe Meat could film most (if not all) of the episodes before he does the shows in the UK and Australia :??: If it is true, it's a great opportunity for Meat .... and would definitely give me an excuse to watch the show every week :)) |
And it'd be an interesting thing to see I would think.
Thanks Vicki! |
Thanks for posting Vicki!

Thanks for posting Vicki, that is interesting. But it's not shown over here so I won't get to see him if he is on it.

I need it!!

interesting...

Nice find, Vicki. Did anyone see TMZ yesterday? Meat was at LAX and the paparazzi asked him how he got his name and what his favorite food was. Meat said he's a vegetarian. |

Thanks Vicki...I hope he does it... it would be nice to see him on TV every week :D i just hope he does well and wins... i would hate it if he got fired LOL

Here is the link. Be quick because it looks like it won't be up for many days. At the 5:59-6:00 mark. http://www.tmz.com/tmz-tv/?mediaKey=...sShareURL=true |
Thanks Suzieq...he looked good :)
|
love the picture they snapped to before "commercial" haha
|
Thanks Suzie, but it won't play on my computer. Don't suppose there's a youtube clip of it?

The American Apprentice sucks soooo much in comparison to Alan Sugar's version. That Trump clown is useless imo.
|
Plus there's no Nick and Margaret. They were the best reason to watch and one of them has gone now. :bleh:

Thanks anyway Suzie, I'll try to watch it again.

I managed to watch it, Meat looked great. And they had a couple of Aussies there too. I love Eric Bana. I can't believe that woman didn't realise Air Supply were Australian.

First and foremost he has the opportunity to show that he's not just a pretty face ;) |
I'm being serious, how is it a great opportunity for Meat? I'm not saying him being on the show is a bad thing, I'd just like to know how it's an opportunity, an opportunity to achieve what?
|
Quote:
Another avenue is the show usually has a humanitarian effort challenge and this could be an opportunity win the hearts of "new fans" (imagine that) of the man himself (because he is kind and giving). These are just a few that spring to mind. But if you can't see any opportunity at all, then I guess I'm just being a little forward thinking. |
Quote:
There is the double edge sword on this, and the way Meat could be portrayed and edited in the show he could end up looking like a complete buffoon and not taken seriously at all. |
Quote:
No matter what length of time it's been after release, Meat has said he isn't done yet and WE aren't done yet. At least I enlightened you to the fact that there could be a positive break for HCTB with this exposure. Glad to help. ;) |

I'm from Illinois- the only reason I watched was so that I could hear Donald say, "Rod, you're fired". It didn't take very long, needless to say. |

Meat Loaf is selling Pizza tomorrow at Famous Famiglia Pizza Parlor
at 757 Broadway at 8th Street New York, NY 10009 11am-3pm.
according to John's FB update. Its for Celebrity apprentice. |
I just spammed the fukc out of every New York Rocky Horror contact I have up that way. This is exciting!!!!
|
He can't do any worse than some of the UK contestants when they sold pizzas!
|
|||||
Hmmmm Pizzas. I hope he's selling nice big Meaty ones that are high in protein.

They put him on trial, which lasted for months (he declined to testify on his own behalf, probably a smart thing, because he would have dug himself a hole, and I'm sure his lawyers knew it), and then the jury only managed to convict him on one count (after deliberating for I don't know how long), and were hung on the rest due to one holdout. So, now we get to do the whole thing over again. Only this time, the judge said he can't have his high-paid lawyers anymore. I can't imagine he has anything left to pay them with, anyway. The only ones I feel for are his two young daughters (his wife's involved in some shady dealings as well). Amazingly, he still maintains his innocence, and even made claims that he's going to run for office again. I think the only reason he did The Apprentice was to try to garner some sympathy from the public. It didn't work with me, anyway. It was clear on the show that certain of his teammates didn't care much for him, either. I mean, the dude couldn't send an e-mail, and his excuse was that as Governor, he had thousands of people working for him, and he didn't need to know how to do that? Give me break! He sure knew how to work a telephone, though! |
I so wish I was gonna be there tomorrow. Hopefully the show will get shown over here in UK.
|
Im only a 90 minute drive from there. Me and my buddy colin have a trip ahead! WHOHOO!

Did he not say he was a vegetarian again recently? One Margherita please. :))
|
Its blocked by bbc in Australia..... damn.
|
Basically it's a video of some Apprentice clowns trying to get away with serving up half pizzas in a restaurant. Bunch of muppets. They didn't really get away with it. It's a good thing it's blocked. I shouldn't have to pay TV license for a bunch of Ozzie freeloaders. ;-) (Just joking!)
|
Ha ha I was just assuming it was a clip of Meat doing the pizza thing.... but now I realise this is impossible, he hasn't done it yet!!!

I know whose team I'd rather be in .. because I'd believe we were in with a stong chance of winning :-) It's the people who have no sense of focus who generally let themselves down and are made to look foolish. Success is hard to edit out ;) Meat may never forget he's there to entertain .. but he doesn't lose focus when he's competing! Caryl |

I don't question Meats focus and drive to use the opportunity to make as much money as possible for his chosen charity, I question how he might be made to look on TV for ratings. |

I don't know why I should need to offer proof of "that statement" .. even you've just posted you don't doubt his focus and drive. But there is plenty to support it .. all Meat's sporting endeavours from baseball, football, softball to poker etc, the fact he so frequently says that he applies that same focus to his shows and everything he does in business, the time he spends on his fantasy sports endeavours, the thoroughness with which he prepares for what he gets involved in, his ability to learn lines fast and to focus in his acting roles. He acknowledges he's intensely competitive (against himself and his standards as well as those he competes with) and "focus" is his hallmark. Imo he's the kind of person who can stand back and break tension with something lighthearted and then immediately focus back on the task in hand; I've seen him do it. And he can quickly move focus between different projects without dropping the ball. He manages involvement in several projects at the same time, without losing focus on any one, switching his attention with apparent ease. A very useful skill set.

Non of which will stop the producers taking a couple of things out of context and making Meat look like a right prat if they want to. :(
|
As I said, possibly. But it's hard to edit out success, and I have faith in Meat's potential to be successful. He's not a politician caught with his fingers in the till, nor an eclipsed star looking for a come-back. He's built himself a successful career twice, against many odds. I'm sure he'll entertain and be fun .. but imo he will play to win.

MORE DRAMA THE BETTER :))
|
I just chatted with Bill Brennen (one of the people who did the audio commentary for the Shock Treatment DVD). He tells me that the word has gotten out big time to the NY RHPS and NJ RHPS casts. There are quite a few of them going to buy a slice and a pepsi!

Because in shows of this genre it's what the producers think that the public wants, reality show showing staged (edited) real life. Ratings are driven by out of context drama. Meat's as much at risk of being singled out for that treatment as any other celeb on that show.
|
Cyndi Lauper is a successful artist, but last season, they portrayed her as a nitwit. Regardless, I like the show and it will be good publicity for Meat.
|
Well I just checked the clock and Meat should be one Pizza selling individual right now. Go Meat!
|
Just to let everybody know, Amanda posted on Facebook that Social networking is against the rules. I don't know if that includes this forum (or just Facebook and Twitter), so maybe we shouldn't be talking about it on here :??:

One thing to remember is that the contestants also need to be able to get along with their teammates, because it is the team that decides who to put up for elimination. I probably would have watched this season anyway, because I kind of got hooked on it last year (I would have liked to have seen Sharon Osbourne win, but I was very happy for Brett Michaels), but if Meat's on I will definitely watch. :-) |

So Meat Loaf hunts ghosts and sells pizza... What's next?

Here is a recap of the day from a FB friend of mine:

Thanks for posting it Dave :)) And IMO that's what it's all about ... everybody having fun raising money for some worthy causes :-) But I have to admit that seeing Gary Busey in person would scare the heck out of me

Another strength is his constant drive to make things better, never accepting that he's reached as far as he can go, and his preparedness to take risks. I made my living working with senior managers in industry to develop their skills. Meat has imo many of the qualities and competences they need for success. Caryl |
Thank you Caryl for not being boring with writing just one sentence
I think we get it, you like Meat Loaf, but do you have to list every possible quality he has in nearly every post about him? Here's me thinking he was only human  |

Meat is caryl's hero, let her speak her mind :)) |

Ah balls, you just reminded me it's $6 pizza's on Tuesdays here and now it's Wednesday :(
Anyway back to the topic: When will it be fully confirmed who is on Celebrity Apprentice? |

You take an opposing view, and when someone replies you get bored and just hurl some rudeness. Discussion's impossible .. it's Pud's way or no way. I suggest you don't ask questions if you find replies so tedious. Caryl |

What's so special about a celebrity doing something millions of people do every day and why do you need need a TV show with a competitive concept to "raise money for some worthy causes"?

Are they already filming the show?
|
In the UK the current season of The Apprentice which is being broadcast was filmed over a year ago.

I think it's great that the Celebrity Apprentice raises money for charity. I see it as a win, win, win situation: the network gets ratings, the contestants get publicity, and the charities get funds. It's not as if the contestants need a job, like the winners get on the regular show, so I'd rather see them do something to give back. |
