Charity Auction Dec 2008 Holiday Head

John has added this months charity auction to ebay

It's a very special one for Christmas. John has got Meat and all the band to sign a holiday Drum Head. It's the head from 'Sieze The Night' Gong Bass Drum that John has been using since the beginning of the Bat III tour

You can see all the signatures he has along with pics of each band member signing it on his website on the auction pages.

John has also done two blogs about this which you can find HERE

John had a very cool added bonus to the collection at sound check in NJ last week. Peter Criss from Kiss stopped by and signed the head for John

More about this on John's blog and website

Good luck all that are bidding and I hope this does well for John's charity

Cheers Des.

Fixed the link that didn't work for you ;)

Hope that despite CreditCrunch Christmas this auction gets the support it deserves.

my parents are going to be giving me a loan to get this skin,
John, meat and peter criss how cool :)

Didn't know it didn't work lol, thanks for fixing it :-)

BTW John has 3 pages of pictures on his site (Casa De Carne section) with lots more pictures of everyone signing the head and more pics from rehearsals and soundcheck @ Younstown

sounds good...stored on my watching list!

 Nice

Think I know a certain little lady who'd like that in her xmas stocking :bleh:

The Queen?

 That's right Mike, she e mailed me just a moment ago getting all excited :yep:

One is obviously amused by Sir Loaf

But Neil, can you trust a signature that wasn't done in front of you...even with a photo? LOL

I'm off for an early bid, bet a pound to a penny it'll be outbid lol!!!!!

 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, but you said it was on a blog of a person who is not a member here

I said "don't think", he's hardly a prolific poster lol

Had my bid, not usually one for early bidding but what the hey, all for charity innit!!!!!

 A member is still a member

It's in a good cause, so the more money raised, the better.

I don't think this is the kind of auction where too many people would be impressed with a last minute gazumping to keep the price down

Jeez, I got outbid quick there lol, I've a feeling that this could set a record for John's auctions that'll take some serious beating!!!!!

Ok, one more bid....

Thanks Deb, I've put it on my watched list, it's great what John is doing, and Meat and the rest of the band signing it too is great.

Carole

hmmm....furniture or drum head...furniture or drum head....

this is ace, thanks for sharing again deb....although i can't afford to bid i really do wish john the best of luck with this....and the same to those who can afford to bid - i can only dream how awesome it would be to own this!

Already up to £242!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I've thrown in my hand on this one

Good luck to the winning bidder though

Think I may have to keep an eye on this one, could almost justify it as an early birthday present to myself since I do have a big birthday coming up...

didn't expect it to increase this quickly, will see how it goes...

thats exactly what RJ said about his ....

there's always early bids on John's auctions, this is about where I expected this to be after a couple of days though.

Shall we have a sweepstake on what we think the final selling price will be?

over $400 now

up to $405 now, there may have to be a lottery win tonight:D

$460 - £310 now, doing well!!!!!!!!!!!

Just over 24hrs to go folks, any last minute bids??????????

might be a bit too rich for my blood, especially since the credit card bill has to be paid tomorrow

Just realised it's going to end while I'm at work, drat.

So far its around the £310 mark...

I have to say it is an exellent piece and would really love it but I think if I bidded I could well be in alot of debt for quite a few years

Mind u though, have I got anything I could sell to make a quick sale and then I could do it :-P ...errrr

*thinks*..... *thinks some more*......

I do have something, but I couldn't... its been in the family for years.... no I couldn't... could I???

Selling the family home...or a family member mightn't be a good idea!

Which is $700 Aussie dollars, so is definitely way out of my price range now sadly.

Carole

Way beyond me too Carole..and Ross, it's not nice to sell your granny..however good the excuse!

;)

I could never do that!!! :lmao:

Would love to be able to afford it, as it is going to a great cause.. great christmas gift mind you, if anyone's feeling generous..... :-P

nice try..and best of luck Ross!

Woah, over 800 quid! I was expecting it to go for maybe around the £500 mark, great result for John there.

Imagine how much that item could have fetched if it wasn't just before Christmas? Great result for the charity though!

Great that it made so much, well done John and for a good cause

 Awesome finishing price 8)

Well done to John for raising so much money, and to the winning bidder

Know for a fact that the second place bidder couldn't be consoled:(:(:(

 Think of it this way dude, that's a whole lot of pampers lol.
