Mail Order Bride?

Is anyone aware if the ''Mail Order Bride'' episode from the Death Men's Gun series was ever officially released on either video or DVD?

Which results in the next question; if so, who knows where to find it, or is it only to be stumbled upon on Ebay?

Blackkat13 19 Sep 2007 04:17

Nope, As of right now I don't think it has released on to dvd. I have the episode on an old vhs so where but can't remember where. Good show I liked it thought it was pretty good western.

Lord Kagan 19 Sep 2007 18:41

RadioMaster 21 Sep 2007 11:06

so: on topic (yes, I do that once in a while:p)

What exactly are we talking about here?
I assume Meat appeared in this episode. But what is this show about?

AndyK 21 Sep 2007 11:16

Dead Mans Gun was a US TV series, which was about a cursed revolver that brought violence to a variety of owners in the American West.

Meat starred in the Mail Order Bride epispode. Which was originally aired in 1997.

mszee 21 Sep 2007 14:28

I looked all over American Amazon - I don't seem to find any reference to it even from the private buyers. Sorry!

Ankie 21 Sep 2007 14:35

Thanks for your effort, Zina!
When nothing is to be found in the US, we can hardly hope there will be in Europe.

Ankie, but if you do find something in the US and they can ship only in US - do not hesitate to PM me...I will get it over to you!

Ankie 21 Sep 2007 19:47

Thanks for your offer. Now off to the difficult part; finding it ;)

mszee 21 Sep 2007 20:15

Ok...I looked everywhere and it doesn't seem like it was ever recorded officially. This was original showtime series that lasted only 2 seasons which isn't a good sign at all. Usually only successful TV series with great following make it on DVD.

So as I far as I can see, unless somebody privately recorded it...not sure it came out officially...

RadioMaster 21 Sep 2007 20:18

maybe that showtime station (or the producing company) have copies available. It's always a good source for stuff that hasnt been released officially, and from my experiences they mostly help you out with copies.

HA!!!!

I am 10 steps ahead of you. Already checked out showtime store and e-mailed their support. It's not listed in the store.

Ankie 21 Sep 2007 21:38

Thanks for that too, Zina ;)

mszee 25 Sep 2007 16:35

Ankie, I don't have any good news for you.

Showtime has replied to me that if I don't see it in their store/downloads section (which I don't) it was never then released to general public and they can't assist me.

Sorry about that...the only other way to get it looks like if somebody taped it to get a copy...

Sorry, I've tried...once again...if somebody in America is selling it and you need help, I am here...

Blackkat13 25 Sep 2007 21:50

You mean to tell me Dead mans gun series has not been released on dvd yet. I mean it was a good tv show and I was glad years ago when the Spike/Tnn channel use to show it. It's sort of like a Twilight Zone but just western the follows the tale of a gun from person to person. That reminds me I need to get Brisco county jr on dvd when it comes down in price.

No, I don't mean to tell you anything but what SHO told me whose original series those are. Apparently it has NOT been released to general public on ANY kind of media...

Monstro 10 Nov 2007 14:24

Meat starred in two of these episodes

"Mail Order Bride" and "The Bounty Hunter"

Ankie 10 Nov 2007 21:05

I found my copy on my old vhs, going to see if I can transfer it to disc, with other stuff like the Nash Bridges episode, and other tv apperances. Just a dumb question if and I mean a big IF it takes can I post some caps from the show on here/picture thread. If I can get the caps I'd post links so I would take up loading time if it is cool with you all.
