You are all so right that Mum's must just go on with life as normal when they are sick! I am only the Mom of 1 child, but my husband should count as a second one! Whats worse, (at least in my household) the children always get the Mom sick. My son is just starting something nasty- sore throat, cough and extreme crankiness- a sure forewarning of a horrid fever in the next few hours! Best of luck to those of you who are ill, and to the Mums, tell those who live in your houses that you absolutely require a bit of TLC until you are back to health!

I remember this. When my kids were young. A mum isn't allowed to be sick. She remembers the time her mum served her hot tea and biscuits. Once you become a mum: those days are gone.
But the good news is: once they get older, if you get sick then: they serve you breakfast in bed and treasure the memory of when they were ill and you took care of them.
