The Mechanic. Quite enjoyable, though not the most cerebral movie.
Source Code. Again, pretty good stuff.
Hop. Absolute shite. Even pre-schoolers would feel patronised by this tosh. For shame! Lol

Agreed, always been my favourite. Out of interest Wario, have you ever watched the Red Letter Media reviews of Star Wars 1-3? Funniest review ever.

Wow, really? You don't think Empire is better? I am surprised.

Oh well, watched 'The Pink Panther Strikes Again' Been watching the PinkPanther boxset recently and realised again how terrible Steve Martin's Clouseau is. Why did that guy stopped being funny after the 80's...:shock: It still angers me to see how little respect Steve Martin has for the original Panther movies :evil:

Then again, Peter Sellers can't be topped.:cool:

The Boy in the Stripped Pyjamas. :( Such a sad film.

Vickip 09 Sep 2011 00:45

Happy Saturday, meatie peeps !

Grey Gardens; not the one Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore starred in, but the original from 1979 featuring the REAL Edies ... and I just can't get over how Lange and Drew captured them spot on ! It's scary, really and actually, the real Edies are kind of scary ... lol ... but so facinating to me.

I watched that a couple of weeks ago, after I had catched the movie on TV. It's one of the most interesting documentaries I've ever seen.

the remake.

Watched the Star Wars Blu-Ray boxset (well, apart from Return of The Jedi so far) whilst I've ben laid up with my back. I simply don't understand the need to keep meddling. Why not restore the ORIGINAL theatrical versions of the movies and put those on BR? It seems to make sense to everyone BUT George Lucas ?!:??: Although, they do look amazing in High Def :)

I know ! You really can't take your eyes or ears off the Edies ! You can't believe these are real people, not to mention related by marriage to the Kennedy clan ! I watch with a mixture of a bit of pity and a bit of "you go, girls !!!" ... lol ... Talk about doing life your way, hunh ? ... lol ...

The last film I watched was Requiem For A Heavyweight, black and white, written by Rod Serling. I'm a Rod Serling fan via Twilight Zone and have heard of this film forever. It was interesting enough to me and the end reminded me of a combo of a scene from Kansas City Bomber and the end of The Wrestler, probably only due to the fact the storyline was about a poor, old broken-down athlete.

:twisted: Get Carter (the original)
~~~~ing legend! 8)
First time Jo's seen it, and she noticed something i've never noticed :shock:
"J" (the killer who shoots Carter at the end of the film) travels in the same railway carrage as Jack as he's travelling back to Newcastle at the start of the film.
saw 50/50 at the weekend...really good film and well worth seeing.
Sue K 02 Dec 2011 14:23
Final Destination 2 and MAN! did it ever have some good car/ truck crash scenes and great, gory death scenes !!! It's supernatural so, imo, it's okay to enjoy all the bloody, gory fun !!! I mean, some of the death scenes are just too impossible to ever happen in reality, they make you nervously, giddily laugh out loud ! ... :lol: ...
smithsleonardo 13 Dec 2011 13:35
I have seen Clash of the Titans movie last time. It was very enjoyable movie and interesting battles in this movie. I like the battle scenes of this movie most.
Hypnobabe 15 Dec 2011 17:03
I've seen quite a few just lately, usually surrounded by piles of wrapping paper, ribbons and bows, and unwrapped presents...
Last one was The Tourist...
Ollie241189 16 Dec 2011 01:26
