Last night was Deep Blue Sea & The Three Fugitives.
That sounds like it could be one movie :bleh:

Would still be better than Sharks In Venice :lurk:

I thought both of those were a bit over-rated to be honest. Reasonably amusing, quite interesting, some very good special effects, but really not much to them.

I love Deep Blue Sea! One of my favourite bad movies ever!

hey, dont bash it before you've seen it!!

watched Little Shop of Horrors last night

Sue K 06 Oct 2010 00:16

Last night I woke in the middle of it and found myself channel surfing onto Play Misty For Me. It looked very dated, like an old American tv show... lol ... but, to my knowledge, it's the film that gave the world First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack and when the song began to play, all sorts of memories came flooding back to me. Afterward, though, I STILL had to put on my Law & Order:Criminal Intent dvd to have Det Bobby G's gentle voice send me off to snoozeville... lol ... Restless night ...

Interesting Eastwood film, have seen it several times.

I just watched Burning Life, a road movie with some amusing Thelma & Louise references.

Back to the Future on the big screen at my local posh cinema. I swear the clothes are the only thing that dates that film and even they're becoming trendy again

the taking of pelham 123 (remake)

not bad, though I havent seen the original, so cant compare those two

 I've seen the original, but not the remake, so this doesn't really help us

Was a good movie from what I remember.

RadioMaster 06 Oct 2010 21:44

the reviews say the original is supposed to be a lot better. mediocre action movie I'd say, but enjoyable to watch. I liked John Travolta as the bad guy.

RadioMaster 07 Oct 2010 22:16

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Steve6 08 Oct 2010 15:59

Dark Water starring Jennifer Connolly!!! I have to say it was very good.

Happy Saturday meatie peeps ...

I woke in the middle of the night, channel surfed and found a movie title that sounded very familiar to me - The Narrows. It's a film featuring "be still my heart" Vincent D'Onofrio of Law&Order:Criminal Intent fame and I watched the whole thing ! I enjoyed it okay. It's about the mob in NYC, a bit, more of a kid and his dad's relation with and in it and life in general. Vincent was cast as the dad. It was from 2008 and it was just, for me, the most surreal feeling to see "Det Bobby Goren" being a dad to a grown kid and cursing and being rash ... lol ... I've seen films from when Vincent was younger, but to see him, you know ... oh never mind... lol ...

It was no The Godfather, but if you like mob movies or Vincent, it's not time wasted, imo.

RadioMaster 09 Oct 2010 23:02

eyes wide shut

this is one weird movie :wtf:

Steve6 10 Oct 2010 02:56

I went to the cinema tonight to watch "Buried".

When the film was over a few people got up and said "That was the worst film ever". I actually quiet liked it, despite every minute of the film taking place inside a coffin. The last few minutes had my heart racing, and the ending had me saying WTF!!!! You just can't have an ending like that!!!

It's worth a look folks.

Hypnobabe 10 Oct 2010 10:38

Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, (plus all of the bonus disk) followed ny Finding Neverland and In The Electric Mist...

Sue K 11 Oct 2010 23:16

We watched Planet 51 today. It's an animated film. I thought it cute. I think it bored my husband. It was about an astronaut landing on a planet of these funny little alien-looking people and he was considered a scary alien as opposed to the way films usually play, that aliens land on Earth and scare the hell out of all... lol ...

RadioMaster 11 Oct 2010 23:21

Wild Things 2

Reminded me of Cruel Intentions 2, in that sense as it's basically the same as part one, with different (worse) actors. Same plot, some scenes were recreated shot by shot. Enjoyable to watch though.

I'd SERIOUSLY not recommend Buried to everyone. It's an extremely claustrophobic and depressing film to watch. Probably one of the worst if not THE worst "first date" movies I can imagine in fact.

Me and my husband were some of the people who left the cinema saying What a load of old fuc, king shite, 2 hrs of my life wasted and i paid for that ! I am sorry but after 15 mins the film is boring, at first you did feel a bit uncomfortable this bloke trapped in a coffin. But after that it was WTF ! Is this it ? i reckon it cost £2.50 to make, £2.50 too much i think !
I kept thinking something will happen, there will be a twist, the twist was that you paid to watch this drivel ! I think i would rather have had neat bleach poured in my eyes !
IMO it ranks as on of the worst films ever ! I was disappointed that Ryan Reynolds, an actor i like signed up for this shit !
Next time i will research my films, before i decide to spend money and time !
The ending sucked as well imo, this film should have gone straight to dvd and then the bin !
Most of the people leaving the pictures felt the same, like they had been robbed, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask !

Thanks for your review, Michelle. I only go to a movie house to see Johnny Depp films due to funding AND On Demand on tv system AND patience... lol ... Ryan Reynolds is a favorite actor of mine, too and when I heard on radio review the concept of the film, my first thought was, "Well, at least Ryan Reynolds is in it as a saving grace", but he managed not to save it, hunh ? I don't want to know how it ends, but the other thought was "and if he doesn't die, it's crap" ... lol ... Call me, WHATEVER, but I'm tired of all these last second impossible recues in films. Thanks again for your review. And I think "cynical" is the word I was floundering for there... hehe...

24K 13 Oct 2010 13:42

Yea even Ryan Reynolds couldn't save the film, the ending i won't give away but i didn't like it, just not my type of ending.

I was hoping for a last minute rescue, it arrived in the form of the end credits. If i had watched it on the telly, i would have turned it off, but seens how it costs you a small fortune to go to the pictures, we were determined to see it through. I kinda wish we hadn't ;) LOL..
I won't be back at the pictures for awhile, cos we will have a puppy to look after, i had wished we went and saw The Town instead, i heard that its canny good !
Still you live and learn, i should have looked in more detail into the premise of the film, rather than just going on the adverts, which as always show the 20 seconds of a movie that makes it look good.
