Just finished watching What Lies Beneath with Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford, it's very good but jumpy in parts.

Knight and Day
At the cinema. Pretty damn good. Much better than I was expecting from Tom Cruise. It's quite ridiculous and fun but Cruise doesn't take himself too serious which is good. Cameron Diaz looks pretty good and has a very fit body. She especially looked lovely in the black coat and with her long blonde hair during the scene where she is spying on Cruise.

In search of Paradise....
Meh, second time I've watched this. It's intriguing indeed and almost unbearable to watch when Meat preps for his shows, it makes me sad. I would rather have seen the backstage stuff from the European shows as I think it may have been more diverse and also some more comments from fans would have been interesting. Could have been a lot longer and more in depth but I guess the film crew only got so much time with Meat and the band on the road and Meat often seemed uncomfortable with the camera crew being there. Still it's an interesting background story to one of his more tougher times on the road.

Dire Straits - Alchemy Live
On Blu Ray. Crap video but outstanding audio quality. Have listened to the live cd many times but it was certainly interesting to watch the whole thing now too. They don't make music like that anymore. Ashame Mark Knopfler stopped with the band and went into more folk and country stuff. The straits music including the 14 minute Tunnel of Love was truly epic and timeless in my opinion.

But do you think
it's incredibly funny, as the promo said it was?

Jaws ... :D ...

Terminator Salvation, had the dvd since Christmas and finally watched it last night, i thought it was fantastic ! Love the special effects, and i love Christian Bale, all in all a very good film imo.
Although Christian Bales best movie is one that i think he should have got an Oscar for , that was The Machinist.

No not all. Was that in the promo? I think I only laughed a few times. The hardest when Kasim said Dennis Quaid was going to rip the :shit: out of Randy's Gibson guitar (they are notorious for being expensive).

Ocean's Twelve, watchable wall paper TV, but the plot holes are huge.

I couldn't watch, saw a part a few years ago. Had to switch it off when they were supposedly "moving" a whole building in Amsterdam just so they could shoot someone from a window. What a load of nonsense and a waste of good actors.

AndyK 15 Aug 2010 15:50

The best part is probably the scenes in the middle where Bruce Willis makes his cameo appearance. Other than that it's escapist fantasy in the the same vein as any film of this genre ... leave reality at the door.

I remember Meat saying it in about every interview. IMO it's more tragic than funny, and if you go at it with the wrong expectations you'd be even more shocked...
Mind you though, I havent watched it again since I bought the 3 Bats DVD.

I did too, but from what I can gather, the critics HATED it. It even got re-edited and renamed for release in the US

RadioMaster 15 Aug 2010 23:35

read about that today, apparently they cut twenty minutes for the US release

No idea if it's actually that good or not, guess I'm a little biased on that subject lol

Slow is not the word, shite all happened, waited you know like you do, thinking its gonna get better. It only got better when the credits came up on the screen ! An hour and a half of my life that i won't get back ! Avoid !
