Point of the song or the sexual identity? :-)

You think the song is about sexual identity???

No... RSG said that he thought this song had been a love song for a girl...
But Desmond doesn't write a love song for a girl because he is gay...

And that really matters, you think? He might not have written it with a girl in mind, but the message still remains the same. I mean, Melissa Etheridge's "Like The Way I Do" works both ways too.

What really would be an interesting question, is why mr. Child would write a song invoking God, with Him being anti-gay and all.

Have you ever thought he was given directions/instructions for this song...?
