Happy Tuesday, meatie peeps...

When Howard Stern questioned Meat about his divorce... Meat avoided talking about it... I think Howard tried to get him to reply again ... and Meat made some remark... I don't remember exactly... but something about flying above the bed... I took that as Meat trying to get through to Howard without getting angry that he wasn't going to talk about it...

To my knowledge... Meat's never gone public about the circumstances of his divorce... It's been my view that he's pretty quiet about what goes on in his private life...

I was quite taken aback by what was in the excerpt ... knowing that Meat had avoided questions about the divorce... I'll have to assume this has been written with Meat's blessing though I've seen no evidence written or said that it was ...

My thoughts...

To me it sounds like a good piece of honest writing from Scott.

Sometimes the truth isn't nice- an unfortunate fact of life.

It sounds to me like an honest accounting by Scott of his own experience- I can't imagine he would have made it up.

This doesn't really talk about the details of the divorce, only Meat's behavior from an observer's point of view.

And I absolutely can't stand Howard Stern, so good for Meat for not telling him anything.

My whole view on this is that Scott is recounting things the way he remembers them. I don't think that I am going out on a limb here but I am assuming that anything he wrote about Meat he passed by Meat. We all know that Meat is a very private man so I highly doubt his own son in law would right something about him and he not have knowledge of it.

I think the bigger point that Scott was trying to make is that meeting his future father in law was nerve racking. Just as it is for any of us meeting our new love interests family. Who hasn't had an encounter like what Scott was saying, maybe not to that extent. I totally get Meat calling and saying get the 'f**k' off my couch. I have had to do that myself. Not using that particular word but when you get home from a long day of work (on top of the stress of going through a divorce) and you have two people watching tv on your couch, hell yeah I would say get out of my house...lol.
