You see, no-one's got a bad word to say about me ( or should that be good word?)

I'm in love with the Dales!!!!!!
Travelled up on Sunday and had afternoon tea at Bettys and a quick walk round Harrogate. What a dump of a town.
On Monday we did a 100mile loop of the park taking in Aysgarth Falls, Hardraw Falls,
Ribblehead Viaduct and Malham Cove (via Ingleton after missing the turn off!).
The next day we did Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross Caverns.
I also took my running gear and did a session along the River Wharfe which was fun.
I even had clearance to go and watch Barnsley play at Burnley on the Tuesday evening. But, I thought better of it seeing as it was Valentines day  ( and they lost :()
All in all though, we had a fantastic few days away and I would recommend it to anyone. The scenery is quite stunning. I'm a sucker for high peaks, waterfalls and mountain streams.
Highlights were Malham, Fountains and Brimham.
P.S just joking Andy!

You're banned
(Not just from here, but Harrogate too!)

Fountains and Brimham are two of my favourite places in North Yorkshire. Fountains was a possible wedding venue for us for a while, but they refused to ut a roof on it, so it was ruled out :))

Glad you had a good time!

That Henry VIII has f**ked up your big day!

How odd. There is a new series by Adrian Edmonson on ITV called the Dales.
During the opening credits he ambles along the River Wharfe and points towards Bradford and says I was born 25 miles that way.
The camera man could almost have been in our hotel bedroom!!
That was the view we woke up to each morning.
Uncanny.

Fountains Abbey is a stunning journey into history. I loved it when I visited there 15 months ago when it was covered in snow and the water was all iced over.
