Coopers Field, Cardiff Castle, 28th July 2002 was the first time i ever saw Meat live. I was 6 rows from front, centre stage, when Meat made several remarks about women's breasts, and basically said that if we really loved him then we would throw him our bra's 8O I was more than happy to oblige - Hubbs wasn't best pleased, but hell, i was 20 feet away from my God, and my God wanted my bra, so i wasn't about to let a little thing like hubby's opinon influence me!!! I unhooked my bra - a rust coloured lace number - and walked to the front of the stage, swung it above my head a few time, then let her rip - it landed about 3 feet away from Kasim, who picked it up, gave it to Meat and he tied it to his mic stand!!!! I can now say that Meat has handled my bra..... :wink:

Thank you, Heat and Bigmomma, for sharing stories about this. I knew that people were throwing bras, but these were the first specific stories I've gotten to hear!! Ah, I wish I could have been there!!

Only one bra was thrown at any of the 4 concerts I went to this past summer. The last show, the one in Kelseyville, someone threw one up there toward the end of the concert and it was quickly put up on Meat's mikestand. But that was it. No fuss was made; no more talk about it.

That show had a wild audience, anyway, so I guess I wasn't surprised to have it happen. :roll:

Rock Goddess!! Yeah, Leah, I think you're right!! I don't believe I would have had the nerve to do the same!! And, like Leah, my aim is pretty bad. I can only imagine (with terror), if I could get up the nerve to do it, where it would land!!! :oops: :oops:


Well, tonight, guys, you gotta help me. I've had this one poster for a long time now. And in all this time, I have never been able to find out who the women are. They don't look like women who have performed with Meat in the past. Perhaps, they are just models and I'm not supposed to know who they are.

Great story Heat! I had not heard that he asked for bras - It's a good thing he didn't do that in CLeveland, I just had a basic white number on lol! Or maybe he had already done that by the time I got there. But wouldn't you have to be Houdini to get it off?? I would probably have gotten tangled up and made a mess of the whole thing.

I thought I'd try your link from here, Sherrie, just to see what was happening and why it wasn't working for you. But I had the same results as you. Make sure your link is correct. If you type it into your browser, can you bring up the photo? If not, something may be wrong. Is your photo file really called "everyt~1.jpg" or was that shortened by your OS?? Make sure that there are no spaces between the address and the [img]s. That's all I can think of at the moment.

If I can help you, though, let me know. Okay? Like Vicki, I can't wait to see the picture. :D

Yes MB .. there's something about Meat that does remind me of a big ole bear :) .. I think it's the warmth and open-facedness, his fondness for giving people big old bear hugs .. and sometimes when he's walking away, head down, from the back he so reminds me of Winnie ther Pooh as he trudges off .. :)) Oh .. and I mean the genuine article, as illustrated by Shepherd .. not the potbellied Disney Pooh :) The original is a broad shouldered bear, troubled by a propensity for gaining weight, but not as round!

Is anyone else having trouble looking at the photos in the MLUKFC gallery? I was going to add a few from there to this topic, but every time I try to open them (specifically the set titled "family photos") my computer locks up. PARADISE was soooo great and sounds 40 minutes....

patti for a day would be cooool 8) but as you say it is a lot to live up to and could we do it? but then we would be adding our own style to it and you never know it could be quite interesting :roll:

I haven't really had those kind of dreams, but mine was sure strange.
I woke-up from this dream around 3 am. I am not remembering everything. I think it was hospital, I was holding Meat and trying to calm him down. It was very sweet. :oops: I don't know if he was hurt, it seemed like he was upset and we bonded like glue. I remember rubbing his back and running my fingers through his hair. During the dream I do remember trying to wake-up because it was strange. He then jumped off the hospital bed and we left hand and hand, once outside the hospital he touched my face kissed me and said "your and angel". When I woke I came down and checked the computer to make sure he was ok. It's just weird for me to dream of something like that because it's very odd that I am home and when I am home all that usually runs through my noggin is numbers and flight times (I haven't even dreamed about Kas :lol: ). Hey - if I am his angel or whatever it meant I hope he is ok.

Who knows, maybe someday I'll be knocking on his door.
I'll Be in Dublin in Dec. but I have to leave a day before the concert. As you will learn I have no luck. I travel almost every day and can never be in one place long enough. I'll see the band again if it's the last thing I do. :p
