The Woman In Green

Those were the days - characters in movies were still allowed to smoke...

RadioMaster 05 May 2010 22:46

last night: The incredible Hulk
a lot better than the 2003 one, though I grow more and more tired of the same old marvel-comic-movie scheme:
reguar guy becomes superhero for some reason
-> evil corporation tries to exploit his power
--> hero wont let them
---> evil corporation creates their own, more powerful version of said superhero
----> big battle
-----> superhro wins though the villain is actually more powerful

tonight: Die Hard

Sarge 06 May 2010 00:13

Flamingo Road (Joan Crawford vs. an evil fat Sheriff :cool:) and Frenzy (Hitchcock thriller :angst:)

Sue K 06 May 2010 12:13

i haven't and i'm not a big Freddie Krueger fan ... but i saw a still of the new FK and he doesn't look so scary to me ... now that other actor ... i forget his name... he has an odd face with which to begin so to put makeup that makes the face look melted works... thanks for reminding me that i need to take another look at the "new" Freddie ... oh... and i saw the ads ? ... and if these are supposed to be high school kids... then i'm my own grandpaw... gawd !!!

The Omen (1976)

was not too thrilled, maybe because I had seen the remake first, which is basically reshot scene by scene

(had the same problem with Halloween)

yeah... you probably had to see it when it first came out ... on a big screen ... in a darkened theater... it's creepiness was intensified that way ... i'd read the book ... i started to watch the remake ... i wasn't happy with the guy playing the Gregory Peck role... i can't think his name right now... but i think he was in the first Scream ...

last film for me was a re-watch of Full Metal Jacket... Vincent D'Onofrio is incredible in it you ask me... but don't... i'm biased ... ;) ... yum ...
