Moulin Rouge this morning, and I'm just getting to the end of Finding Neverland

Sarge 09 Aug 2009 13:28

What's up, Doc? and 1984

RadioMaster 09 Aug 2009 13:43

Alien :lurk:

AndrewG 09 Aug 2009 14:26

The Day After Tomorrow.
Not as good as I remembered it. Very cheesy in fact.

RadioMaster 09 Aug 2009 18:00

showgirls

after seeing basic instinct i thought another nudity-driven movie by verhoeven would be as good..... was kinda wrong

Hypnobabe 10 Aug 2009 18:15

Showgirls got such bad reviews, I'm surprised you didn't see any of them!

I watched some House... I know it wasn't a film, but I haven't watched any more since yesterday...

RadioMaster 10 Aug 2009 18:23

i dont care much for reviews. i rather build my own opinion on movies. i did with this bone...and it was crap

samurai7 10 Aug 2009 19:03

Paul Verhoeven is usually a pretty good director. He gave us Robocop, Total Recall, Basic Instinct and Starship Tropers, then gave us the travesty that was Showgirls. Disappointing indeed.

mszee 10 Aug 2009 19:04

Knowing...bunch of crock...

My main problem with this movie was that aliens killed Nicholas Cage - sorry for the spoiler but I don't suppose you did or ever will see this movie - like they didn't know it's Nicholas Cage??? Really???

According to Dan, however, it was, in fact, a good thing that aliens killed Nicholas Cage...matter of opinions, of course...

Evil One 11 Aug 2009 14:44

It was good that aliens killed Nicholas Cage. Makes up for the shite that was Bangkok Dangerous.

RadioMaster 11 Aug 2009 16:26

and speaking of Aliens, can you guess the last movie I've seen? :))

Honestly speaking, would make up for Knowing too...

Evil One 11 Aug 2009 16:52

I thought Knowing was rubbish, but my girlfriend liked it for some reason that I don't comprehend.

I assume so, but he was hardly looking at his best!

Evil One 12 Aug 2009 13:59

The Ugly Truth. Quite funny in places, but definitely more of a girly film. It seemed to give off the message that it's ok for women to mess men around and treat them like crap though.

Sue K 12 Aug 2009 14:17

the last film i watched was Fred Claus ... starring Vince Vaughn ... there were times i laughed until i cried and others when i cried until i laughed... i enjoyed it immensely ... but then... give me a "small person" (known pre-PC times as a midget ) and i'm there lmao !! ...

Though he more than redeemed himself with the awesome "Black Book" (Zwartboek).
Probably the best WWII movie I've seen.

Last movie I saw was GI JOE: Rise of Cobra

Another boring Hollywood CGI filled Yarn. 4/10 imo.
