A word of caution...

My husband did exactly the same thing a year or two ago, and started the winding up, "you'll never guess", "I bet you'd love to know", etc etc...

I went snooping about two weeks before Christmas, and I managed to find out what he'd got me... it was the best present ever, (my CBT, led to me getting the big beastie) but you wouldn't believe the number of people who told me off for finding out...

Lucy, if you go snooping and find out, you'll neve hear the end of the ear bashing - I've not gone snooping since, birthdays or Christmas...

And Andy, if she goes snooping and finds out, you'll have to buy something else to be a surprise!

MICHAEL DO YOU KNOW?! :p

All I did was advise as to which company provided the best service, beyond that my knowledge is severely limited.

LucyK! 03 Aug 2007 11:14

Hmmm...very curious! Is it Christmas yet?! :p

My biggest concern is that if this present to me really is mega then mine to him will have to be as good if not better!!

Deb 03 Aug 2007 11:16

Or... you build it up to be so wonderful in your head that when reality comes, you're dissapointed

LucyK! 03 Aug 2007 11:30

Nah I don't think I'd be disappointed, he's got me very well sussed on pressies! :p

Of course the most annoying this is that we go through all this on the run up to Christmas, and then three weeks later it's my Birthday, followed by Andy's 9 days later!

AndyK 03 Aug 2007 12:09

People may think they know, but they don't know anywhere near as much as they think they know. :))

In my eyes a diamond is still a diamond, rough or not!;)

And I've never been to Spain (or does it look like I will soon) so, who knows?
But thanks for the thought !:-)

Despite the fact that I apparently don't say the word Parmo in a common enough accent :p There's a kitchen over there and we could always have our own home made ones :p

Whoa, pushing the boat out a bit! We'll have to see if we can raise that sort of cash first

Rockette 06 Aug 2007 13:29

Maybe we can set up a cake stall outside Woolies or something?

Mick Loaf 06 Aug 2007 13:31

It depends on who's baking. I'd end up poisoning people if it was left to me.
(By mistake though, I wouldn't do that on purpose )

Rockette 06 Aug 2007 13:33

Then we best scrap the cake stall. I can't boil water.

Horse...ginger person...advice is still the same...see above...

Unless it was a male ginger person...that would require kick back into the same area...

duke knooby 06 Aug 2007 22:13

mszee 06 Aug 2007 22:16

But did he clap the hands at least???

I mean...kicking you and THEN not clapping hands is just rude in my opinion...

Just don't tell him to stomp his feet next time...you never know what he will stomp them on...

duke knooby 06 Aug 2007 22:18

he kicked as i clapped lol

mszee 06 Aug 2007 22:20

And that's just weird now...why did YOU clap the hands?
