Bigfoot and the Henderson's, for the little one obviously.

We went to see The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor tonight!

Rather enjoyable movie! Nice SFX as well!! It´s better than I´ve expected it to be ;)

Hypnobabe 14 Aug 2008 08:49

Drillbit Taylor, Penelope, and The Other Boleyn Girl (again) on a plane yesterday....

MissAsh 14 Aug 2008 15:25

Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

A little cheesy in parts but aside from that, pretty good. Some great fight scenes.

RadioMaster 14 Aug 2008 22:26

The Squeeze

average movie, nothing special but good to kill 1 1/2 hours.
rather small, not too demanding role for the Loaf. Sadly he didnt die in this one either.

The Edge Of Love (15) 110mins
Starring Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller. Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys

A beautifully drawn love story, the film revolves around two feisty, free-spirited women, Caitilin Thomas and Vera Killick, Vera's husband William Killick, and the brilliant charasmatic poet Dylan Thomas who loves both women. Broken promises, passion, betrayal, the shadow of war and the constant threat of imminent death push the protagonists to 'The Edge Of Love'.
It's a brilliant fillm, it made me laugh and almost made me cry, Keira's performance in this is brilliant, I highly reccomend it .

Pirates It's a swashbuckling adventure that follows a deadly sea chase between a villainous pirate and a playboy pirate hunter through the bloody waters of the Caribbean Sea.

chucky rocks lol

AndrewG 16 Aug 2008 02:55

The Grudge.
Thought it was a bit boring to be honest. Just about watcheable I guess. I seem to prefer the more cliche American horror movies like "No Vacancy" and "Dead End".

Only £4.99 from Play.com. :D
For years I wanted to see the alternative ending and just watched it on YouTube. I can see why they left it out, it really wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the movie. The two extra songs are interesting but the plants taking over the world is just disturbing/wrong and not fun at all imo.

MeatGrl1 16 Aug 2008 03:02

Just watched the rest of this;

It's a very moving story, and is also based on true events.

mszee 16 Aug 2008 04:56

Blades of Glory...again...sorry, can't be arsed to look for a poster...but I bet it would have looked great here!

must have really fallen asleep then, all I remember was that from one point on he didnt appear anymore. lol
I mean, He didnt die at the door/handcuffs/fire scene...
Did he still sit in the car when it went into the river? If so, I didnt think this would necessarily mean he dies......:?:cunfused:

Didnt like it either. The whole thing with the gray-ish dead child didnt work for me, although I know loads of people who were freaked out by this.
That said, those american remakes of japanese horror movies arent bad in general. I really liked the ring. (although the ending with the zombie girl climbing out of the tv was a bit ridiculous IMO.

Last one I watched was the third Austin Powers movie.
Not too thrilled by that one, was a good way to pass the evening though.

Hypnobabe 16 Aug 2008 11:17

Started watching Stardust (I've seen it before and liked it but hubby wasn't impressed) and then started watching Lions For Lambs but couldn't stay awake to watch it....

very intelligent movie, would have liked it more if they didnt add all those combat scenes, as they didnt do anything for the story. (theyve been added afterwards as the studio was afraid the movie would be "too boring" for the common cinema-goer)

Abba The Movie.

It was great.
The difference between this and the Abba musical we went to see in between shows in London (may 2007) was as to be expected, so now I have two separate memories ;):D.

Differences as in:
in a movie there are sooo many more options like where it is filmed and many more people to join in at the background.

The live singing and music is the special part of the musical.

But of course that counts for everything that is both live and on film :D

Ankie 16 Aug 2008 11:37

Reminds me of the scare afterwards...

Only days after we were there, a car with bombs was found on the steps of the venue of the musical. When I recognized it, it felt like being in the wrong movie!

are you talking about the real 70s movie where the reporter guy i following them, trying to get an interview and finally meets them in the elevator or the new Mamma Mia movie?

Ankie 16 Aug 2008 12:31

The latest one.
