I know I want to ... you know I want to ... everyone knows I want to ... but it wouldn't be the same without my travelling harem and their shoes and make up :))

Seriously though, who knows if it's even a show that there's an audience for? How long would Meat's appearance be?

Well at least flying out on the 28th would allow time to walk to LA where Meat is performing in the Hollywood segments of the show.

Well, it looks like the New Year's trip to LA is off the agenda, just got this through from ABC-TV

Meat Loaf is scheduled to appear on the two late night specials...the first one begins at 11:35 PM Eastern Time and the second one at 1:05 AM ET, both on ABC-TV. Unfortunately, there is no way to accomodate any audience at this point due to space availability.

The performances are usually in front of a crowd on a dance floor, and I can imagine the invitations went out ages ago, and/or the record companies and the network arrange the audience. At least we know that evidently Fergie is the LA hostess; Ryan Seacrest and Dick Clark are usually in New York watching the ball drop in Times Square and being the overall hosts for the entire program. Looks like Meat will be able to be at home for New Year's.

Not sure about the US, but I know that here in the UK a lot of these New Years eve shows are pre recorded  As in not actually done on New years eve lol. Just as when Meat was on Ian Wright in 99 it went out on Boxing Day and they made out like it was boxing day but it was actually recorded ealrier in the month. So MAYBE it wont be NYE after all

Gatecrash !!!!

There's no need for that! According to the thread at http://www.streetswing.com/phbb1/viewtopic.php?t=644 they are looking for dancers for the Burbank (Los Angeles) recording on 9th December and the NYC recording on a TBC date!

Many thanks to the kind person who forwarded me this link!

According to Aspen's Myspace blog, Meat and the band appearance on this show was pre-recorded this last weekend in LA.

Performance of Paradise, Anything For Love and Blind As A Bat were taped.
