Hello everyone. You might have heard this through the grapevine. My best friend clpmss, also known as Chris, who I have known for 35 years, was attacked last night in her backyard from a drunken neighbor. She was working on her house when her dogs had to go out. She was in the back of the backyard when someone came through the gate and the dogs started barking. It was her neighbor, who she has known for 10 years. She said to him that he wasn't suppose to be here because of a restraining order. He said nothing and started punching her. They start fighting and of course Chris fought back. As they were fighting, Chris screamed for her neighbor, his ex-wife, to call the police. They both fell onto the table then onto the driveway, where he landed on her. He then got up and went after her dogs. Upon realizing this, Chris picked up a chair and smashed it into his face, shattering his face. She is now in the hospital with a shattered left arm, broken left wrist, 3 fingers broken on right hand, 3 broken ribs left side, 2 ribs on right, many, many, many cuts and bruises from head to toe. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow on her arm. I wanted everyone to know that you aren't even safe in your own backyards. Chris has never bothered with anyone, extremely kind good hearted person who does not deserve this.

I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND GET WELL SOON.

Love you,
Tina

This is a shocking and frightening occurrence. Chris was attacked by someone she knew in her own yard. Aside from the many physical injuries, she will now be battling the extreme anxiety and fright that stays with you after you are innocently attacked by someone you know.

Recover quickly, Chris. I hope your pain will end soon.

I'm a little confused.

So the ex-wife (who called the Police), the ex-husband (the one who hit Chris) and Chris (who has a restraining order against the ex-husband that she's known for 10 years) are all neighbours? She smashed him in the face with a chair whilst having 5 broken ribs, when he was going away from her and after the dogs? And Chris has table and chairs on her driveway?

Any online news articles about this?

Please pass on my best wishes to Chris for a speedy recovery. It sounds as if she's had problems with this man before (restraining order)..... he seems a particularly nasty piece of work.

Pudding,

The ex-husband is banded from coming around because he is so violent. Chris and the ex-wife both have restraining orders against him. Chris has one because he kept harrassing her when the ex-wife got the house with the kids. From the gate into the backyard, continues the driveway. In the backyard she has a table with 2 chairs. Chris' animals are the world to her and doesn't matter what happened to her, she will always protect her babies. Unfortunately there are no news articles on this that I have found. Hopefully that answers your question.

Surgery went perfectly. After the surgery, I went into the recovery room and Chris gave me the thumbs up that she's fine. She should be home by Friday.

A truely horrific incident and my thoughts are with her, however, I'm not entirely sure how appropriate it is to post the details of which on a public internet forum...

Thanks for the clarifiaction, although I am still struggling to figure out how a woman with 5 broken ribs is able to not only pick up a chair, but to smash it into the face of a bloke going away from her with such force to cause damage.

I noticed Chris logged onto mlukfc today, so she must be feeling better, I wish her a speedy recovery.

Pudding,

I log in under my name and Chris'. Knowing Chris like I do, she can be dead and still beat your As* if you go after her babies. In a fight, you have powers that you don't normally have. She just swung the chair, she didn't know that it hit him in the face until later when they told her.

My thoughts exactly......this site does allow minors.

Love and best wishes for a speedy recovery, nobody should ever have to go through that and I hope that the full force of the law is applied to someone that obviously deserves it!!!.

My thoughts are with you XXX

During this holiday season, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be very careful. I just wanted to share her story with everyone because you think you know people and then you find out that you really done. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by this.

Chris is doing very well, should be home by Wednesday.

I don't think you offended anyone, but the 5 broken ribs, shattered left arm, fingers broken on the right hand and still being able to smash a chair into his face with such force as to shatter it, from behind  I'm still trying to piece together.

So she'll be home Wednesday now not Friday as previously stated? looks like she's well on the road to recovery.

Like I said before, I have known Chris for 35 years, she doesn't care if she is dead, you mess with her babies she will get you. She swung one of those plastic chairs hitting him, but didn't know that she hit him in the face. Yes she does have that kind of power when it comes to protection someone.

I don't think you offended anyone at all, and I don't think that anyone on here will express anything except their best wishes for Chris - what I'm saying is, perhaps it would have been more appropriate to make your point without sharing the graphic details of what happened to who and the injuries sustained on an internet forum of hundreds of people who don't know Chris.

:D I'm thinking anyone who can defend the innocent while sporting such injuries, has to be pretty close to the best themself.

Get well soon.
