Can someone tell me what the difference is between the outbox and the sent box?

 Hi Guppie.
When something is in your outbox it is pending delivery.
When you send a PM it automatically gets put in your outbox. You don't need to do anything after that. You know when it's been sent because it is then moved to your sent box.
Times can vary for delivery.I think R. sends them out himself.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for explaining. Never too old to learn :D

THATS FOR SURE!!
Maybe someone can help me - I cann't e mail directly from the forum to another person - I'm normally with Yahoo myself - have I not set something up correctly? Anyone can help?
That's not quite the way it works.
After submitting your PM it's stored in your outbox.
When the recipient has read the PM it's in your sentbox.
And no - I do not send the messages. Infact, you are doing it by clicking on the links.
The only way to email another forum user is to use the built in function.
No direct emails allowed.
