hiya, always always if in doubt contact paypal, I've had dodgy emails requesting my paypal info before and after I'd forwarded them to paypal they confirmed it was a scam.

The scam with the bank account happens a lot, you get notification that a payments been made so you post the item off, then paypal don't get any money from their bank account and the back up credit card's been cancelled so they get the money back off the seller. You're out of pocket. Usually involves posting goods to a diff address than the registered paypal one, often another country. I always wait 3 days before I post anything abroad if they've paid by paypal just to be sure the money's gonna stay in my account.

From the paypal website,

If you think that you have received a fraudulent email (or fake website), please forward the email (or URL address) to spoof@paypal.com and then delete the email from your mailbox. Never click any links or attachments in a suspicious email.

To learn more about protecting your PayPal account, please review our Security Tips.

Hope this helps

I've never had a problem with Paypal, always thought they were a fantastic service. Kinda makes me laugh though people who fall for the fake emails requesting information and then they give it them :lmao: I had 3 this week, 2 from banks I'm not even a member of
