We all know Couldn't Have Said It Better was under-promoted, but is it true that Elton John and other artists took the record company to court? If so which record company was it and does anyone have any more details of the court cases?

Cheers

It was Sanctuary Records and you can find a tonne of articles on the net about it, but http://www.highfidelityreview.com/news/news.asp?newsnumber=19552992 should get you started.

Cheers Pud.

Where do Mercury records come into the equation? Were they the UK record co and Sanctuary the rest of the world?

The same mob that had CHSIB in Australia have also scored the Bat III contract, God knows why.

Needless to say, they've done nothing. Their website is still advertising Meat's new album, Welcome To The Neighbourhood.

Morons. With a budget like they would get for this, how hard could it possibly be to promote a freaking album, ffs??

Apparently, it's too hard to even RELEASE ANY OF THE SINGLES HERE. If we want them, we can import them. Gee, the album will get a lot of airplay like that... NOT. ****WITS.
