I saw this on the naked wire frontpage - its Meat on the video promo picture for IACBTMN and he is wearing long hair..... I thought it takes me instantly back 13 years to when he bought out bat II with long hair..(He looks exacly the same then as he does now)

I think Meat suits the long hair - What do you think ????

Should he grow his hair for the next tour ???? I think so, to tie in with the albums... and a headline for a paper could be

" Meat grows hair for the inkeeping of bat Out Of Hell "

Say what you think !!!!:D

It seems to bring back the bat out of hell originality when his hair is longer.

His hair was long on bat 1 and 2 so why not on 3 it makes sence to me.

I think itīs obvious that this is a wig,... or not?:lmao:

Or he grew long hair within 2 weeks!
I want the same shampoo!!

btw, it took me about, erm... two years, or at least one year...

But I prefer long hair, at least on myself, that looks, ....wild! Grrr
What was that with the wolf with the red roses?:lmao:

I'm thinking the reason he got it cut in the first place is a receding hair line, or just thinning in general.

Just cause Jim does it doesn't mean Meat should. I mean, Jim has the mad scientist thing going on no matter WHERE his hairline is.

Marion has long hair, that's good enough for me.

But more to the point, in the video you don't ever actually see Meat's face from the masquerade ball era do you?? Why did they go to all that trouble when it could be anyone under the mask?

He does look seriously cool with the wig, it's amazing how instantly younger he looks...

Imo his hair suits him short now .. I wouldn't want him looking like the oldest swinger in town! :) But just as I'm perfectly happy for Meat to choose the songs he wants to sing on tour, I'll let him decide what hairstyle makes him feel comfortable :)

I agree - most people who have heard of him think of the long hair and red hankey and frills and don't know that he has short hair.... Like I said - Meat Rocks with Long hair :D

I'd imagine that the make up he's wearing to make him look younger for that scene in the vdieo probably has some effect on him errr, looking younger in that shot :))

*Hypnobabe opens mouth, prepares to insert foot...*

I don't think that picture does especially make him look younger. If I look just at his face, rather than the face with the hair in place, I (personally) can't see a great deal of difference. I think it's the association between the long hair and the earlier album releases that gives the illusion of a more youthful look (but then, being a psychologist, I would do, wouldn't I? :lmao:) Just my personal opinion...

PERHAPS, it's reverse phycology :bleh:

THis could be a cunning ploy to mingle with people, make them losen up, and then start analysing everything they post before sending us to the nut house :retard:

And before you ask, YES, I do have a good, healthy, AND PLATONIC relationship with my mother :wtf:  :bicker:

Perhaps we shouldn't have posted anything here in the first place

Someone who hasn't seen Meat for donkeys would think that it was real hair, not a wig but of cource I have seen him since on Tv etc.. and know that he has short hair and that they have made a cracking realistic job - the hair looks real :)

RadioMaster

Maybe a stupid off topicish question but:
When excatly did he cut his hair?
On WTTN it was still long (96) and on Very best of (99) itīs short.

The big question is now:
Will he keep it?
As much as I would appreciate this, I dont think so

I think the man in the IACBTMN video's scenes where he has long hair, isn't Meat, but a body double, that's why you never see his face. I could be wrong, but that's mho. :)

That was my impression too - younger man too...BUT...why would then Meat have long hair in this picture???

I think someone has pulled a prank and this looks like a "computer generated" image (the long hair, that is) to me. It doesn't look real or natural.

Doesn't he have short hair in the black and white photo at the front of the booklet in WTTN?

Long hair in the photo in the back, short hair inthe photo at the front, non?

It's possible they did some shots of him unmasked perhaps that simply got cut out in the editing stage.

God lord I hope Meat doesn't let his hair grow longer  I think it looks perfect the way right now. No offense to anyone here, but I just don't like the way older men look with long hair ... the picture doesn't make him look any younger (it actually creeps me out)

There's actually not that many ways to make an older guy look younger, apart from plastic surgery or a frigging good make up artist. So although I agree with Vicki and that Meat definitely suits his hair as it is now, I think we can be safe in knowing that it was a wig and only used for the duration of that video, to try and make him look younger.

I've only seen the video once, but assumed that the scenes with Meat wearing the mask had something to do with the past...they couldn't show a younger version of Meat unless they used CGI, so they gave him hair extensions and a mask to refer to the past that's 'All coming back to' him

I think it's also quite a nice little in-reference, cause we all know that Meat DID have long hair when he was young. Whether they considered that or not, kinda nice.

I still think it's weird that any footage of Meat as a younger man at the masquerade ball with his face showing ended up on the cutting room floor. But there are a couple of dubious bits in the clip that annoy me - like the woeful scene with Marion coming down from the painting at the beginning.

They could have done that bit better methinks. Overall really cool tho.

I think it's up to Meat at the end of the day.
Whatever Meat does with his hair is fine with
me! I mean that doesn't affect his ability to
perform or how he is so this is a bit of a
pointless debate!

I noticed a small clip in the video when he is walking away from the camera, what looks like a small pony tail at the back. May be he is going for the long look again. :D

As I read through this thread, I thought I was the only one to make that connection, Allrevvedup, but then I noticed Needmoremeat is on our side too. Thank heavens! And I was beginning to think it was my new medication.

For what it's worth, I like to see men (and women) style their hair to their best advantage as they age. My ex-husband still persists in wearing his hair long and pulled back in a ponytail. Looks absolutely ridiculous at 55, not that long hair ever suited him in the first place! Thankfully, Meat has infinitely more sense of style.

I think that the longer hair just takes people back to BAT I and the earlier albums, so recognisable with the longer hair (obviously 2 people that arent hugh fans), The 1st time that I seen him with short hair was in Cardiff NIA in 93 and thought made him look really healthy and more grown up. So for me the shorter hair suits him more now.

Dont know what to make of his Silver Highlights, I suppose we all get them in time.

And dont worry even at the ripe old age of 31 I even have them.
