Was lawyers, guns and money ever released as a single? been listening to it again, great song! was it released in america or how did it make the storytellers album?

It, is a great song, but it was never released as a single. It may have been released as a b-side to one of his singles thought but i'm unsure. Nope never released in America either.
It was released as b-side on the DIST Single in Germany, Switzerland etc.

Actually a live version was also released on the Storytellers CD :-)

I'm sure its a cover, at least it sounds sort of motownish, if that's a word, if it isn't then its copyrighted by me.
Lawyers Guns and Money is a Warren Zevon song from Zevon's 1978 album Excitable Boy. Once Meat covered the song on Late Night with Letterman and a few days later Warren was on the show. During the show Letterman asked Zevon how he felt about one of his songs being covered by Meat Loaf to which Zevon replied sarcastically: "I couldn’t be happier" (or something on that line)
I love Meats version of Lawyers, Guns and Money on the storytellers CD. It rocks:razz:
