A report by the Air Accidents Investigation says that the plane which landed and skidded off the runway at manchester airport had an overloaded baggage compartment, as reported in today's Manchester Evening News. Meat is not mentioned into the report of the investigation, but is known to be one of the 10 passengers on the plane. More news on this when I can find it online, but a full page given to it in the MEN

This was 0n the 29th June 2005, Meat was on his way to Ireland from Hamburg, part of his SELL OUT, repeat SELL OUT tour, and the plane was stopping off at Manchester Airport for re-fuelling. Everyone was ok, no injuries reported.

Remember that one. Thanks to Kasim (http://kasimsulton.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_kasimsulton_archive.html) we were informed soon afterwards that they all were ok.

Meat is mentioned today in a small article on page 3 of the Sun newspaper. Apparently the jet drama from the summer was becuase Meat was too heavy and the cabin crew shouldn't have let him sit where they did....so between the weight of Meat and his luggage the plane near crashed.

They report things so well.

Ahh yes gutter journalism at it's best. I've just ploughed through all 11 pages of the AAI report and can't see at all where the passengers are blamed in anyway

Thanks for posting, Chris!
Wow, this doesn't make me feel comfortable next time i travel by plane... Does it mean I have to ask them how well they are trained, or..... how well they are willing to take orders for safety  :?

Even more glad now, it all worked out the way it did back then!!!!!!

** edit - offensive first line removed and rhetoric **

The Sun's in depth articles are amazing. I mean about 70% of your screen is taken up by adverts when you visit their site. I suppose the same goes for their "news"paper.

I would never believe a "news" paper that is owned by a propaganda driven, idiot, I'm sorry. You only have to watch "Outfoxed" to really understand Rupert Murdoch's intentions.

If that "journalist"'s intentions were to set out to hurt Meat's fans well he has failed. He has just made me very angry by writing that sick piece of shit.

As Meat would say, "Never believe anything you read in the press" ... especially The Sun! Obviously the accident report was beyond the comprehension of the journalist who wrote that stupid piece! :retard:

Just apologising to anyone who saw the removed part of my post. I did not meant to insult anyone (well except for the journalist!). I've just never seen an article so offensive against Meat before.
Even that caption under Meat's picture is out of order, damn it!

Sorry once again to all the readers/members here.

Bloody journalist...couldnt find there own ass hole with their own bloody hands....

The sun came up with some sh*t last year when X-Factor was on and (cant remember her name  ) auditioned from AFL auditioned, trying to make him out as the bad guy and she got zippo

So to clarify, was this a different accident to the one that happened in June at Manchester? Or are the people at the Sun just stupid and reporting stuff that happened 6 months ago in yesterdays paper?

AndyK
14 Feb 2006, 19:14
No it's the same incident, it's being (inaccurately) reported in the papers now because the air accident investigation unit report following the incident was published recently.

Pretty much I think.
If Meat had been in the UK since July / August we would know about it.

This is what people in Holland call "Cucumber news", just to fill up the newspaper as they they do not know what else to write.

It was actually The Mirror that published the article on Meat and her off x factor. But it did publish a full page colour article the next day displaying meat's response and publicising his tour. It was all tongue in cheek. And I was at the concert that night where he brought the paper out and let rip!

Yeah, your right Choccy. I have to say I love the article published the next day that was all in Meat's favour. It was very funny.

So hang on... the plane 'crashed' because Meat - at 17st - was too heavy? I'm heavier than that... does that mean I'm too fat to fly?

Tabloid journalists are scum. Simple as that.

Paul191
22 Feb 2006, 01:23
I agree, it's a ridiculous article and I don't think anyone in the right mind would beleive it anyway. Just goes to show how lazy the tabloid journalists are because they can't get off there backsides to find some real stories.

Whoever wrote that should be fired. That sucks. It's also very insulting.
