Yes, you don't have to feel on the outside any longer. But how was it? Did you put your tongue in his mouth...?

I met Meat the one and only time I got to see him in concert. He was a very sweet man. Not your typical rock star persona that you might think. He was very kind and patient and took time for EVERYbody to have a word with him. More so than any other artist I've ever met. A totally wonderful experience. (Altho' Bret Warren trying to nibble my neck and make me crack up on the air will be forever imbeded in my memory.)

Second time was at a meet and greet at Wembly Arena before a concert in 1999. I asked him loads of questions then asked for a hug!! I got a lovely hug then he hugged everyone in the room it was really great!!

Has anyone of you met Meat in pearson?
YES I meet MEAT often! :D
It's cool and very nice to meet him!
He is very friendly! :D
Aww Rainer! That's just an invitation to tell the story! :D And I just found out that Chris hasn't heard it so there's two reasons for me to tell it again!! But just for you R, I'll make it quick
Right!!! May 10th 1999! Meat Loaf day!! I'm 13, hormones all over the shop, and I'm on my way to meet Meat - nervous as hell! The whole group of us walked through the arena at Newcastle, getting more and more nervous, up loads of stairs and into the room for the meet and greet - by which time the tears were streaming down my face! Goodbye to any traces of makeup!
So into the room we go, and we're just waiting for Meat to come in, getting more and more nervous - by this time there are three or four people standing around me waiting for me to collapse! Then in comes Meat. Those who have met him will know what i mean, but it's a feeling of pure happiness! It truely is! He walked over, met some people, then got to me. He asked my name but I couldn't speak, I was just totally frozen! So Anne told him that my name is Lucy and I was a little nervous ( understatement of the millennium! ). Meat met the rest of the group, then looked back at me and shouted "Hey Lucy! Are you OK?!" Still unable to speak, I just grinned and nodded! I turned to Anne and whispered to her that I couldn't believe he was standing there, and she told him what I'd said, so he started moving around so that he wasn't stood "there" anymore! Then - in that way he does - Meat shouted "Right! I wanna photo with Lucy!" and he put his arm around me and walked me forward and we had the photo! Then he asked if I was OK, said his goodbye's and went to get ready for the show!
And that's it! The story that half of the fan club are sick of hearing!! :D
Thanks Meat!!!!!!!!
Lucy! x

Many eons ago when Meat was appearing at the Hammersmith Apollo - London - I was able to touch him on stage and tried to pull some thonging from his trousers - didn't suceed - he didn't seem to mind - tried the same with Bob Kulick - no luck again - then the heavies moved in and promptly placed me back in my seat - does this count?

 Hi Dick.
He's a really nice guy.One of my all time favorite comics.
I ran into him a couple of times at the Blackpool magic conventions that are held each year(the biggest of it's kind in the world). He's not a magician himself, but he's very keen on it.I got an autograph and some photos together  .
I've seen him perform live more times than I can remember, the jokes are mostly the same, but it's still funny.
What every you do,don't book an early taxi.He goes on forever and you'll laugh every minute.
One year at the Blackpool convention,he was to accept a lifetime achievment award from the president of the Blackpool magic circle (who was at that time an old pal of mine named Derek Leaver). It was suposed to be simple.Call him up,he'll say a few words,he'll sit down on with the show. The problem was that as soon as Ken got up he went into one of his routines and took over the whole show.In the end Derek went and sat down in the audience. He went on for about half an hour and the crowd loved it.
Enjoy the show (I know that you will). You are guarenteed to
P.S. He's got a great singing voice too.Really.
Your right he has got an amazing singing voice, i'm sure when i see him i'll be filled with, "Lots and Lots of HAPP-I-NE-SSSS" :D
i have met him in 1989, together with Arjanus. i didn't say anything to him, but he was very relaxed and peaceful. His wife was there too and Amy and Elaine (his former backing vocalists), Steve Buslowe, Chuck Burgi. It was great! Meat was eating a lot of fruit i remember.

I had been watching Wetten Dass, where Meat had kissed the host! :D
But about meeting Meat..
I have been to a festival in Dillingen, years ago, backstage and stayed at the same hotel as Meat and the bands who played there.
I told you before, it took me a while to see 'the light'.
If I make a mistake, it usually is a BIG one!!!
I didn't even stay to see the show, went back to the hotel, didn't even go look for Meat....
Now, you don't have to tell me,...because I know.
I recently heard the concert "I choose not to see" just to feel the pain!
I can also laugh about this  What can I say, that's me
Great day everyone,
Mariella

I've met him twice ... the first time before the show in Atlantic City in September 2001, and then again this past December after a show in Florida. He's such a nice guy :-)
The first time I met him I was so nervous I don't think I said two words to him. The second time was better .... we were in a hallway backstage, and when I saw him coming towards me, I went up and said Hi Meat and he gave me a big hug. He asked me my name and I actually remembered it ... I was so proud of myself :-))

Vicki,
At which Florida show did you meet Meat in December? I was at the Clearwater show, and I would have been so thrilled to meet him. Instead, my best friend and I went to Bennigans afterward and fantasized about ML and the Neverland Express wandering in for a post-concert meal. Alas, we had no luck. (Though my husband wondered why I didn't get home until 1AM- out looking for Meat Loaf!)

Hi Sherry!
It was the Clearwater show :) My friend and I got to go backstage as part of an after-show meet and greet. He's such a sweetheart ... hopefully you'll get a chance to meet him this year when he goes on tour !
