 Either sleep on the edge of the bed, in which case you'll drop off eventually, or sleep in the fireplace, in which case you'll sleep like a log

I nearly joined you all last night: some people near my area began letting fireworks off that sounded more like bombs at twenty to two this morning! I'd went to bed at twelve, but I'm usually awake for at least an hour and a half just thinking about things, then get to sleep, so I hadn't been to sleep by then anyway, but at times it's so difficult. Last night, as well as bombs, I mean fireworks going off, I had a cold, cramp, and unexplained itchy red blotches on my legs to contend with. By the time the fireworks stopped I was tense, awake, alert, angry, and mentally planning an angry email to someone responsible for allowing people to let them off at such an awful hour. Consequently I had four hours sleep last night, and like everyone else, I like and need my sleep!:(

Got to sleep at just coming up to 6 this morning. This time can't blame it on loud people, just me being all weird and awake :?

Having said that, on Friday we had someone in our kitchen who doesn't even live here singing very loudly and very flatly. The song wasn't in english so I couldn't even sing along!!! That went on til nearly 4am. Then people upstairs started shouting out of the windows and then ran downstairs and hammered on the doors until we were all at the point of hammering on their heads.

So Friday was a 5.30am sleep as well...I'm not exactly improving...

BUT saturday slept really well even though was sleeping on the floor...I'm not sure what all of this says about me

Well here I am again........

I'm tired but for some reason sleep isn't beckoning - I've spent the past hour counting sheep, my pillow feels like a marshmallow one minute and a piece of the Grand Canyon the next:lol:

Does anyone know whether Valerian is beneficial for helping this insominac
settle back into an undisturbed sleeping pattern again? Heard this name mentioned by some work mates, but didn't have the time to check this out.

You just have to go to bed when you first time feel tired.. To me that means 11.00 pm.. If I still donīt go to bed I canīt never get some sleep...

If you still donīt get some sleep do like little children.. Take nice hot bath or shower, put pyjama on bruch your theeth etc.. I bet you get sleep finaly..

Valerian tea is very good you can get it in Holland and Barrett Theres another one called Tranquility which helps too but you cant drink alcohol before or after them or they dont work!! I use the large glass of red wine technique myself!!

Valerian root is very big in Russia...so I found here Russian pharmacy and bought it...oh my dear lord...instead of calming down I became agitated out of control...so be careful with that stuff.

Cats react to it the same way...they start flying...so if you have a cat and want to have some fun...give them a bit of THAT...
