At least the good old Belfast people know what they are talking about :D

(I think this is a subscritption website meaning you'll need to pay to see the story after a day so just incase heres the article below):

MEAT LOAF Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (Warner Music Vision) * * * *

You might find it hard to believe, but Meat Loaf has found a way to go even further over the top, to make the truly epic even more epic. It's simple really - take some of the most hilariously overblown songs in the history of rock, then add a full orchestra, a kids choir, leather and fishnet clad dan- cers ... and a levitating sofa.

In the wrong hands it would be a recipe for disaster, but with Meat Loaf as ringmaster it is a piece of totally ludicrous rock theatre and rock opera that succeeds largely because everybody involved knows it is totally ludicrous yet plays it with the straightest of faces.

Filmed in February of this year in Melbourne, Meat Loaf looks in remarkably fine fettle for a man who had serious heart problems only a few months earlier. Just as remarkable is quite how well songs like You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth and Paradise By The Dashboard Light have stood the test of time.

The orchestra is pretty redundant for much of the time, but they earn their keep on the encores, I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That), complete with singer Patti Russo on the sofa, and an absolutely monumental Bat Out Of Hell.
