Yes, BECAUSE OF YOU was considered for release in Germany, but the German record company and MEAT made an another decision. That's very sad if you ask me!

I think it was a good thing that it wasnt released. That song suits a boy band better than Meat.

Personally, I quite enjoy the BoyBand sound myself. I think it is a breath of refreshing air in the musical world. I am of the firm opinion that we all need a little brain rot from time to time.

I was so glad to see Meat Loaf venture off into some new genere of music with this album.

Interesting to hear the various types of music on one album, but all with that flavor we so often crave...Meat Loaf!!!

Because Of You is DEFINATELY a fun summer song and I will be playing it loud poolside this summer...you better believe it baby~!

ROCK ON UPSIDE DOWN!!!

Some German radio stations played Because Of You last year, but I heard it only a few times and only within a month... Nothing more after that.

To me, the magic of CHSIB (the album as a whole - it is difficult for me to break it up into pieces [songs]) is the fact that it sounds "different." To me, CHSIB is similar to WTTN in that the songs are all good, but heads above WTTN in the fact that Peter Mokran (sp?) did a much better job at giving each song a life of its own versus trying to make them all sound like pathetic Steinson rip-offs.

The biggest scare I had in years was that Peter Mokran (producer of NSync for Gods sake) was going to produce Meat's album CHSIB.

When I heard he was also going to produce Bat 3, I was stunned, appalled, shocked, disappointed, upset, and astonished!

Why?

Well, Meat's voice sounds fantastic on CHSIB, and some of the songs he sang live in the last tour were absolutely earth shatteringly good.

But a big reason I think CHSIB was not a huge success was the boy band sound of some of the songs (ie the production). Meat is one of the biggest selling rock stars of all time. He is NOT a boy band member. If I buy a Meat Loaf record, I want Meat Loaf style music.

You're Right I Was Wrong sounds just like any other boy band pop song, Because Of You sounds like when Westlife tried to prove they had "attitude".

I'm sorry, but even though Meat himself sounded fantastic, this style of music is just not what the vast majority of people would look for in a Meat album.

I have no objection to Do It or Love You Out Loud - they are brave new directions that are even better live, and sound great on the CD... but at least they are rock!

This is only my opinion (of course), but on a Meat Loaf album I am looking for drama, passion, someone trying to kill a piano, and above all ROCK - OPERA. If I wanted bland, commercial sounding pap, I would buy Boyzone or something.

*** [Heartfelt plea] ***

Ahem...

Meat Loaf is the best singer in the whole damn world imho.
Jim Steinman is the best songwriter in the whole damn world imho.
As a "duet" they are stunning.

PLEASE DO NOT LET MOKRAN TURN BAT3 INTO A COMMERCIAL SOUNDING POP RECORD - I DONT LIKE IT (from Meat - I have nothing against pop itself), I CAN'T SEE IT SELLING, AND SURELY MOST OTHER MEAT FANS ALSO PREFER ROCK!!!!

*** [\heartfelt pleas] ***

Am I MAD   ??? Or do you agree? :??:

Your facts are outdated, no1 knows 100% exactly whats happening but Meat posted Peter Mokran was helping with the vocals because he sounded so good on CHSIB. he isnt producing

true, no one really knows.

but i loved how you said you wanna hear someone kill a piano, nicely said. it shows the strongness in the player (steinman) when you said that. the LIVE AROUND THE WORLD version of HEAVEN is awesome!
