View Full Version : Funny Car Buyers

Apparently there are a few people who ordered funny cars (autographed or otherwise) who have yet to receive them from the USA.
For your information these were not offered by ordered via this site.
In trying to sort this out we have been in communication with Bill Nychay of KnockOut Talent who told us:
"Here's the deal, we will now NOT be trying to get these autographed because of all the delays. I don't need the stress by trying to do something good. We will give the few people that did order a full refund OR they can still get the cars unautographed..................its been a hard deal trying to pin it all together to make this happen............We are in no way trying to scam anyone and its beyond me where this got all messed up".
Bill e-mailed again tonight our time to say:
".............it was originally no problem and easy to do, but its gotten to
be a nightmare.........we did this deal and at the time it was easy to get
everything done, but the delays have gotten people a little nervous, there
are only about 10-15 people who ordered the autographed, if they still want the cars no problem, or refund, let them know. Either way is fine with me at this point.

Although I didn't order these items - I distinctly remember them being "offered" through this site - Their sale was actively encouraged via this site.
and just for the record I hope the refunds include the triple payments he has taken for a single item.
I cannot figure out for the life of me why he hadn't contacted the purchaser directly to explain or ally their fears after so much time had passed, and waited to be formally chased before offering an explanation.
I must add that I ordered my car through the OIFC link my main concern was an email received from Bill in December saying he was going to get straight on the phone and sort out the refund for the triple payment. He then did not answer any emails from me until a week ago when he promised to send the money through Paypal. As of today I have asked for all my money back and to forget the car. I think I may have more chance of a trip to Mars then him paying up. 10th street have said they will look in to it but nothing from them today :o :o :o I am annoyed as OIFC is an official site and I do think the link should be suspended until all monies are paid.. But that is my opinion only :o :o :o :o

These cars were not offered by mlukfc.com or the MLUKFC.
There was an advertisment with contact information: http://www.mlukfc.com/site/article.php?sid=148
We never encouraged these car sales.
I have just had an email from 10th street, all the refunds should be received by the middle of next week. Please let me know if this does not happen
Rosie
I have recieved a third of the money let's wait and see.

Finally after a little more thankful intervention the rest of my money has been refunded over $220 in total. Thank-you to everyone that has helped and suppoted me with thisI am off to get measured for a space suit

I just want to know if Meat Loaf is aware of any of this. ?!?! I hope he would never leave his fans so disappointed. I am devastated that I won't be getting the car with his autograph. It would have been my boyfriend's most valued possession. I think Bill should take a vacation until he gets unstressed. I agree with Sin, the way this has been handled is appalling. And if Meat Loaf hasn't been told, someone should tell him. This whole thing just isn't right.
Coppertop how did you get on with your refund?

Rosie, Call me a fool but I'm still trying to get an autographed car. I'm hoping someone will tell Meat what has happened and he will make it right. I love my boyfriend and know the gift would mean the world to him. See he collects die cast and Meat Loaf is his all time favorite. So to him the car is a dream. Unfortunately I'm afraid that's all it will be- a dream.

Thanks Ben. I've known they were on eBay for months now and for half the price. MeatLoaf's signature made it soooo much better though.
Resurecting this one :D .......well I took the plunge and ordered a car from US. It arrived ONE week later WOW :D
Looks good BUT says for adults over 21....not a toy....so a bitta advice.
Put car on carpet (Laminate floor for posh people), push lips tight together, blow hard (Behave girls) and run car along floor making making blown exaust noise :D

Sorry to bring this up again but now it has been a whole year and one month since I purchased a "Meat Loaf signed funny car" from the oifc site and to date I have not received either the car or a refund. Can any one help? Bill at knockouttalent.com has refused to answer my e-mails and niether has kevin at 10th street. Maybe Bill was fired???? All I know is I want the car or my money back. Meat Loaf....Do you ever read any of this??? Anyone but a loyal fan would have resorted to violence by now. Please Meat Loaf!!!!! The car is a special gift and I NEEEEEEEED it!!!!

You should direct your e-mail directly to Bill in regard to this matter. His address is listed above. I did help talk Bill into providing the tee shirts, but the offer of the signed cars was his own doing. Bill is still with KnockOut Talent.
Thank you,
Dave

Thanks David. After copying everyone I could think of on my e-mails to him, Bill finally responded and is sending me a refund. (I'll believe it when I see it.) I probably can't say what I think of the man here but I'm surprised Meat Loaf would ever associate himself with such a person. Then again, maybe thats why the cars never got signed. Thanks for your help!!!!
The cars did not get get signed because a former member of this board gave Bill and his company a lot of undue grief and worry about the cars and shirts.
Bill and Knockout Talent gave Meat Loaf the BIGGEST promotional event for CHSIB in America. It was highly sucessful, causing much talk of the new album by people who would not normally be interested in Meat Loaf.
